no i believe in general that sony supporters are bad people, as in bad human beings (save for a select few who ive chatted w/ on here who are polite and objective)

im allowed to be judgemental about a group of people who have shown themselves to be a poor representation of human beings

http://forums.highdefdigest.com/show...t=34027&page=2

balpho must of been teabagged daily (Judging by his post probably still does) by "evil" bullies wearing Sony t-shirts.

Rdjam fears his paychecks will dry up. Offers this little nugget of desperation

You dont need large studio support to bring the best movies to High Def. This year the look and sound of perfection will continue......

Jurassic park trilogy
Jaws
The Mummy 1,2 and 3
American Gangster
The incredible hulk

Cloverfield
Indiana Jones 1,2,3 and 4
Gladiator
Braveheart
The Ruins
Ironman
Beowulf
Kung fu Panda
Bee Movie
There will be blood
The Mist
The Great Debaters

Plus plenty more exclusive titles coming at you.

Pretty good list I say, he must be in charge of doing all the encoding since Paramount/Universal has not confirmed much of those yet.

Just announced at CES

01-06-08
Toshiba under investigation for disk tampering.

In a Microsoft backed experiment, Toshiba agreed to help encode a mind altering affect in all HD DVD disks. The outcome intended was to make people buy more movies, buy multiple players, and help campaign for the red side. It worked for a while until Microsoft released an updated version of this encoding. Apparently their was a bug. It made people absolutely stupid. All they did was post on message boards and actually forgot to buy movies. In a strong effort to fix the problem, Microsoft released version 3. Version 3 wasn't much better as it simply had a message of love. Unfortunately all it did was make existing HD DVD supporters love each other.

Meanwhile, the blu consumers have been picking up disks left and right. Word on the street is Apple is on board, the news of Warner and New Line is huge and get this, their followers have at least half a brain!

This is Porscheman77 reporting from CES 08!

Thank you Porscheman77 for your oustanding reporting, we now know how the strain operates, hopefully the cure will be administered quickly.

maybe if that guy new that the ps3 is a straight up ballin blu-ray player that is virtually future proof due to its upgradable firmware he would shut his face. It kind of makes MORE sense to buy the ps3 just for that especially if youre the kind of person that doesnt want to have to check online all the time for FW updates or own an obsolete player which I hear is happening with the new 1.1 profiles =/

I got lucky on that one.........the ball happened to hit the bat.

I just checked the look&sound of perfect site & there's no mention of the Warner move that I could locate.

I was checking out that forum and saw a post by a guy named 'Sonar5'. His sig was just a single word, 'Scoreboard'. I was intrigued and clicked on the link. Cool post...and true:

A Little thing I learned and I teach my football players to say when they are in the battle, and the other LOSING Team starts talking smack.

I tell them don't smack back, just gently point out the scoreboard where it shows our team being ahead, and say scoreboard, that's it, no other smack needed, let the facts speak for themselves.

Well, we went 11-1-0 This year, Won our Conference Championship, one of the top 32 Teams in the country, and gave up ZERO Points through the entire regular season, and had 26 points scored on us the entire year.

With that, Blu-Ray has won the week, the year, and soon the war. I have couple more things to write. Dave, thanks for posting the battleboard, it is appreciated. And with that:

61-39 BD for the third week in a row.

Top 5:

The Kingdom
The Bourne Ultimatum
POTC 3
Simpsons Movie
Rush Hour 3

Top 10 SI
300 Blue Ray
Transfomrers
POTC 3
Casino Royale
Planet Earth HD DVD
The Bourne Ultimatum
300 HD DVD
Spiderman 3
Planet Earth BD
Ratatouille

Notables for the week:

Volume Down from previous 2 weeks
13 of the Top 20 are BD titles.
PE on BD outsold the HD DVD 56:44, but with very low numbers overall.
There are now 9 titles over the 6 figure mark. 5-BD and 4-HD DVD.
