I saw it at Wal-Mart too. My store broke street date on Battle of the Sexes over the weekend as well.

On edit: By the way, Wally was selling it for $26.96, which is 55% off list price! And for those what care, it's 2 BDs and 2 DVDs, in each case double-stacked on a single hub. And it comes with a sleeve.
I to got this at Wal-Mart this week for the above mentioned price. Enjoying the hell out of it.

Went to see if my local Walmart had this out and sure enough they did. Very excited to get it this early and the price was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the show when it aired last year, hope there is a season two at some point.

Went to Wal-Mart on Sunday and lo and behold they had it in stock. Enjoyed watching it over the last two days, and really wonder why Wal-Mart was able to sell it so early?

Sometimes a certain retailer, including Wal-Mart, will pay more and have an exclusive early window on a release.

I don't know that that's what happened here, but it seems the likeliest possibility.

Thank you for noticing this release at Wal-Mart early.
Righty right.
Slip Cover, thin but sufficient
Non eco case with 2 DVDs stacked on left, 2 Blu-rays on right.
Printing on artwork is better than expected but not WB/Sony/TT Quality
Discs have nice finish and echo bridge barcode on top
Disc 1-simple menu, music loop, manual selection of episodes 1-4
Set up only offers subtitles of English
Within playing, audio can be changed from English DTS-HD MA 5.1 or English Dolby Digital Stereo
1.78.1 ratio. 23.976Hz AVC Encode
Episode ends take you back to top menu, each episode is broken into 5 chapters
Episode 1 duration 57m24s
Episode 2 duration 59m32s
Episode 3 duration 58m19s
Episode 4 duration 58m50s

Disc 2
Episode 5 duration 59m36s
Episode 6 duration 1h0m34s
Episode 7 duration 59m32s
Episode 8 duration 59m10s

No extras

I’m only half way through episode 1. So far so good, perfect? No but certainly better than expected from echo bridge. Audio is clear. Looks significantly better than streaming and cable broadcast. Colors look good. No black crush or banding thus far. I’m without a BD drive currently or I’d offer up scans

Love this show...wild, crazy, and deliriously entertaining. Hope they get it completed before Disney takes over Fox, realizes what the series is, and promptly throws it into the trash.

With this being owned by Scott and Hardy and distributed by BBC and FX, I wouldn’t be concerned with that. Keeping high viewer numbers will be the bigger challenge. Disney/Fox transitions will take quite a while. That feels like a movie deal merger more than anything with these small independent projects.

Indeed I hope you are right. Certainly the subject matter and sexual content would be the first thing Disney would walk away from.

Preorder for 2/6/18 release date. 33.xx$ Wal-Mart either messed up or has permission to sell this early. Don’t know why, I just bought it at 26.96 tonight

Hmm, my local walmarts have it available for pickup. I may splurge and pick it up tomorrow. I really liked the show. Can't believe it started airing this time last year.

eDIT:

Successfully acquired. The availability status on the website had incorrect information. The main Walmart I go to was out of stock of the Blu-ray. The service rep was aware of its release and had put them out recently, but what they had on the shelves was all they had, and that was maybe 6 DVDs left. I drove to another Walmart that was 8 miles away and they had 5 of them in the hard shell security case. Rang up as $26.96 and after paying I was out the door.

Picked up the one with the best looking slipcover earlier tonight, as most were in rough shape.

Good show so far.

Yeah I saw the DVD in Walmart. But couldn't find the bluray. I own it digitally so I'm not worried about no code.

What mm size is this case? It is a vortex 4 disc stacker. 15mm? I’d like to replace it.

I didn't even know that this had been out at Wal-Mart for weeks. I will have to look for it there.

I mean look at it this way, neither BBC or Fox released this USA Blu-ray. Echo Bridge handled this release. Showing that this is 100% Scott Free's and Hardy, Son & Baker's show and they handle where it goes. Meaning if FX so happen to stop showing it, they'll just find a new USA channel to air this show on (most likely BBC America). Also, let's get this out of the way now; Disney will not be tone down anything adult that's from Fox. Disney aren't idiots, they know when they should keep things for adults. Hell Bob Iger himself said Deadpool will stay R with them (http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/12/...remain-r-rated). Also, they know American Horror Story is Fox's biggest TV cash cow for live action, there's no way they'll tone it down and risk losing the audience for it. And I'm still ignoring all other movies and franchises for adults that they will most likely not screw with content wise. So honestly, don't worry so much, everything will be fine.
