Default The Handmaid's Tale: Season 1

A miracle, considering Fox's DVD-only policy for most TV shows. This brilliant show only had a DVD listed for pre-order at Amazon for the last couple of months, but within the last day or two a BD seems to have been announced, there's cover artwork, so it feels legit:

Best show I have seen in the last couple of years. Brilliant work on every level - writing, acting, direction, production design, cinematography, score...

The first season is a flawless and exceptionally faithful adaptation of Atwood's novel.
[Show spoiler]The book ends with a cliffhanger, which is exactly where Season 1 ended. The first season could really be considered a miniseries adaptation of the novel, and I wonder if they considered that at some point, before it became a cultural juggernaut.
Since Atwood is involved with the show, I have faith that they will take her characters in a direction she approves of, so I'm eager to see where they go in future seasons.
