I love horror anthologies but being pg gives me a slight pause. Is this as good as Spirits of the Dead and Black Sabbath?

Great news, one of my big wants in terms of classic horror! More Amicus, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing is always great news!

I wouldn't be too concerned with the PG rating. A number of Hammer films are similarly rated, This is a great anthology and I think most would recommend it.

It's fairly tame by today's standards in terms of horror - the magic to these films are the EC Comics style "twists" to each story (just like in Tales From The Crypt, Vault of Horror, etc.).

It's tamer than Tales from the Crypt, which was really trying to throw the red paint around. It's the same general tone.

You need to contact them again. I, for one, would love to see it.

I don't think it's anywhere near as good as those 2, however as you can see, it certainly has its fans.

Great news! Was about to dig out my old DVD to rewatch this. Now I guess I'll wait a couple of months LOL.

This is a great Amicus production. I've watched it more than a dozen times throughout my life. Every story is effective and engrossing. I would rank this one very high on the list of Amicus anthology horror flicks, probably tied for the Number One spot with Tales From the Crypt. It's thoroughly entertaining, and has a great cast.

This will certainly be a Day One purchase for me, and for anybody who hasn't seen it but likes horror anthology flicks, by all means get it. The House That Dripped Blood is one of the best.

Also, I love the original movie poster cover Shout is using for this one. Outstanding!

Agree totally with the above post. Never get tired of seeing it. I believe that just leaves From Beyond The Grave for a BD release.

I'd like to think that with the newly announced WB titles coming from Shout/Scream, From Beyond the Grave is a strong possibility now.

From Beyond The Grave is not with Scream Factory.

I know. It's with WB. As WB has recently licensed some titles to Shout/Scream the possibility of From Beyond the Grave coming to Blu is now at least a bit stronger...that title is a natural fit for the company.

It's not one of the titles in the deal with WB. But they do have some Hammer titles but it's not known which ones.

I've never watched the two movies you mentioned, but it is similar to Tales from the Crypt and Vault of Horror, if you've watched those.

Yep, it's great. The absence of this film left a gaping hole in the Severin Amicus box, but now it can be filled.
