I was hoping that the no-rush free shipping on Amazon would be available since I don't have the money until the 1st. Hopefully, it stays at this price until then. I know Young At Heart stayed at this price till release date.
It also seems Dragon Inn has been listed on Janus site forever. Hopefully, we're getting a release of it this year which is supposed to be a new 4K digital transfer: http://www.janusfilms.com/films/1707 |

The no rush credit was available to me. You might be able to change shipping speed after ordering as well. |

Edit: After doing it via the Amazon app I was able to select No-Rush shipping. So I got my order locked in at this price. |

The Young in Heart dropped down to this price(it had the same launch MSRP as this film) during the pre-order period and nothing was wrong with it.

Pre-ordered from the amazon link here a while ago, my order says 'blu-ray' but the link in the order went to the DVD - strange! So naturally Amazon sent the dvd even though the order says blu-ray - happened to anyone else from here?
Called and they want the dvd returned and I have to order again - bummer...! |

I was expecting a slipcover too but for less than half the price of the MoC, which didn’t have a slip either (besides a limited edition one) I can’t complain.
Does anyone know how the AV and features compare to the Eureka release? |

Watched this for the first time last night - really beautiful movie!
I didn't realize how long it was and, since I put it on late in the evening, started to get a little sleepy in the last act; luckily it was interesting enough to keep me from nodding off. I look forward to watching this again in the future. |

I just bought the Kino. Would have preferred the MoC but the transfers are close enough and it's time to get more region A's in the home library.
The frame captures blow the old Asian DVD to smithereens, I can tell you. Going by Dragon Inn and A Touch of Zen, I think the Taiwanese restorations could be better. But I am glad to see the films in this quality and hope they're restoring more of King Hu's films. |
