Clarification...

Faverau says his show takes place "about seven years after the Battle of Yavin" and not seven years after Return of the Jedi as previously reported.

There are 4 years between A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. So this show takes places only 3 years after Jedi.

So it takes place at the same time as the new animated series Star Wars: Resistance then?

Poe Dameron is in Resistance, and he would be 5 years old at the start of the live action series. So Resistance takes places years after the Live TV Show.

If the battle of Endor is 4 years after the battle of Yavin, why not just say it’s 3 years after RotJ? Maybe he meant to say it’s 7 years after the battle of Endor?

Before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) and After the Battle of Yavin (ABY) in the SW galaxy are sort of like BC(E) and AD on Earth.

The most boring parts of Clone Wars and Rebels are the Mandalorians. Sabine Wren is the first Mandalorian that was interesting.

I seriously doubt they would have the entire first ever live action series revolve entirely around Mandalorians.

I thought the same way when I watched both series during their first run, but I watched them again and found myself really enjoying the Mandalorian/Deathwatch episodes of CW. The Rebels episodes were pretty weak though.

Do you think a Star Wars series could survive without a force user?

Possibly, though if this is set after ROTJ then there’s no reason it can’t have Force users, just that, most likely, they won’t be Jedi or Sith.
