Yeah, this is my line of thinking too. They have not had some huge tease for any of their ports like Bayonetta or Donkey Kong or Captain Toad. They just showed off the gameplay that we've all seen before and announced a release date. Coupled with the fact that it's BotW Link and the Inklings are in it, I'd think it's safe to assume this is a new game.

Smash is a franchise that I'm always interested in seeing gameplay of and possibly buying it if I think it looks cool, but it's not something I'm invested in by default. Hopefully this one looks pretty dope once Nintendo shows off more of it!

That makes it an absolute no brainer.

Not when I posted it, perhaps afterward. I took a screenshot of the entire page before posting the link, and his name isn’t in the pic.

It must have been added afterward (or the screenshot on Reddit was edited to add it)
