I don't think he was questioning that so much as pointing out that it's been a long time since a catalog title has been released by MGM / Fox that wasn't a re-release.

I for one am happy to see MGM releasing a catalog title by themselves again.

I honestly still have doubts it's coming directly from MGM/Fox. The $29.99 MSRP is higher than their usual prices. It was suggested by rdodolak that this could be MGM's attempt at doing an MoD release.

What's a catalog title?

Something from the back catalog, i.e. not a new release.

Why such a reaction larsknudsen? I know the meaning of the word catalog but even taking into consideration what RCRochester (thanks RCRochester) said, a new release is still a title in a movie studio's catalog of movies. As a result I was thinking perhaps it was some movie collector jargon that maybe had another meaning. Surely I'm not the first, and I'm sure I will not be the last, that has asked that question.

Manners more, rudeness and hostility less.

This is a forum and posting views and opinions is what forums are all about. If you don't like my posts then don't read and don't respond to them. That simple.

Confirmed on Facebook that this is being released by MVD under their MVD Marquee line. Its movie only since this line is not focused on new bonus materials and it will use the HD master created for the DVD.

Having watched this movie a while ago, I can safely say that Joan Chen is a better actress than a filmmaker. The two leads had absolutely no chemistry.

A beautiful set by MVD -- a sleek slipcover and clear amaray case. Looking forward to watching on Blu-ray this weekend.

Sad to say I played this yesterday and wasn't greatly impressed with the pressing.

There is a glitch in the video of 1 frame at around 53:55 - can anyone else confirm with their copy? - where Charlotte and Will are talking in the road having just got out of the limo - the glitch is an inserted anachronistic frame from a couple of minutes earlier where there is a close-up of Charlotte in the back of the limo.

I also found there to be very slight audio sync issues with the AC3 5.1 track - e.g. when Will is talking to his staff in the kitchen at the start of the film ~3:10. The LPCM seems spot-on in the same scene by comparison.

Too bad after waiting all this time for a domestic (North-American at least) BD release!

My copy also had this same video glitch.

..there's an italian release of this on a dual layered BD-50 with 5.1 DTS HD MASTER AUDIO..one can zoom in on the back cover of the BD on amazon.it for the info..it would seem to be technically superior to the MVD blu-ray..

Do you have it to verify?
