EDIT: nbc.com also has "extended cut" versions of everything except the first episode (which is actually the first two) of season 2. Hopefully the BD has them as well.
I'll wait then till these are released to know. I'm probably going to Luxembourg in winter, so I will buy them if they are.

AFAIK, only episode 2 is extended in Netflix, buy I don't know is that's on Netflix US or Netflix International, and that episodes 12 & 13 are only extended in the combined version, or at least have a extended scene in the bridge between the two episodes.

What about iTunes - are they the extended versions or the aired versions?

Reviews from the DVDs on Amazon seem to be mixed on the extended episodes... I imagine this will be kept the same for the Blu-Ray

Region B locked, but all content (including start up logos) is 1080p24. Choice of DTS-HD MA 5.1 or LPCM 2.0 stereo, with optional English HoH subtitles. High bitrates, episodes look excellent. Great release from Dazzler!

Thanks for the info. Does it have any extras? The US DVDs had a blooper reel (10 minutes), a short look at the show's visual effects (1 minute), a table read for episode 12 (28 minutes), and commentaries for episodes 1 & 2 and 12 & 13.

No extras at all, unfortunately.

That's unfortunate. Seems like released prior to 2018 are region free but stuff from 2018 are locked... I was hoping to get The Good Place and Wynonna Earp, but oh well. I can understand locking stuff that's available in A and C, but when they're not it really sucks.

I think it's mainly just titles they've licensed from Universal that are locked, and presumably that's due to a restriction imposed by Universal themselves. After all, there's absolutely no advantage to locking The Expanse, for example, given the (already available for some time) US editions are region free. I don't think Dazzler would choose to lock titles - they keep putting UK series out region free (e.g., Father Brown).

It's probably for the best Dazzler locked Travelers, mind, given they put it out at 25fps for some reason.

I could see The Good Place, but Wynonna Earp just airs on a Universal owned network but isn't produced or distributed by it. If Universal doesn't want to do anything with The Good Place, not even releasing the DVDs themselves, then they should let other countries not lock their releases so the fans can still get them.

Did Amazon UK create the listing for Season 2 Blu too early and took it offline or is it cancelled ? It vanished from the site and the DVD pre-order is still there. Hmmmm...

Today I received an email from amazon.co.uk stating that the Season 2 Blu-ray is "no longer available" and that my pre-order has been cancelled.

Presumably sales for season 1 have been poor.

Presumably because most people have access to Netflix?

Whilst I do own a few series' on Blu-ray, I have slowed down dramatically as I found some studios/distributors stop releasing subsequent seasons on Blu-ray and instead opt for DVD. Fox are the worst for it, but some series don't even get released past the first season.

Anyway, I love The Good Place and hope they do a complete series set when it ends. I might buy that, especially if it had added extras.

Perhaps eventually studios/distributors will realise that releasing most series' season-by-season isn't particularly sustainable - for example 30 Rock, which Fabulous Films have only released the first season of on Blu-ray and it costs £34.99!? I could find that for a quid in a charity shop on DVD. Meanwhile a popular series like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has barely any home video presence in the UK (you can only get the first season, and it's DVD only). Bit of a mess if you ask me...

Yeah the amazon email sure sounded like the studio releasing this decided not to go further with any more in the future. Lesson learned, now I have to go back and buy season one on dvd so its even with season two. The OCD in me demands it lol.

I bought S1, even though I can watch it on Netflix and Hulu. I'd rather own it than depend on a streaming service to have it forever. I'm disappointed that season 2 won't be released.

I get that a studio would be reluctant to pay for authoring seven seasons of a show, but that's just how people would rather buy a show that has ended.

The first couple of seasons of IASiP were shot in SD, I believe, so they wouldn't benefit much from Blu-Ray.

Back on Amazon two days after I ordered the Season 2 DVD from the US!

Oh well, I've ordered the Season 2 Blu-ray again. At least the pre-order price has been reduced.

I bought the season 1 DVD a while ago and was disappointed the pilot was not extended as it was on Hulu. Are all of the episodes on the Blu-ray extended? I placed an order for both seasons and season 1 is on its way.

There are 11/13 that are extended, but that's because the first two episodes and the last two episodes were released as 'feature-length' and the only extended segments for each double-episode fall within one of their respective syndicated episodes:
