I picked up every blu ray edition of the series (original ed., Hunter ed., 2 and Predators) at my local CeX last year so it'll be great to finally own a 4k of it. But if it's just a day at the races for Fox and not the same level of work as Die Hard, I'll wait until the 4k is > €10.

Plus the drug gangs and voodoo give it a cool bit of flavor that reminds me of the legends they're told in the original by Anna.
I'm in for a new blu of #2!

The studio could score massive points with fans of the film if the 4K remastered package included a new and properly-remastered Blu-ray edition of the film as well…
Much like Unforgiven, I'll have to buy the UHD if it comes with a remastered Blu-ray. Here's hope it does.

Can Fox just please hand this one film over to Sony and let them work their magic. Just for compensation for screwing fans with one poor transfer after another.

Predator/Schwarzenegger fans have suffered long enough.

Thanks to this forum, of the '80s action/sci-fi movies I loved growing up, Predator is one I haven't bought on blu-ray when I started buying blu-rays/UHDs last May. Many others I did get were $5 so if they do have a 4k version I'm not out much.

Keeping fingers crossed!

Something tells me that's wishful thinking.

My bet is it will look a little better than the BD (the good BD).

Good news, but I want to see Predator 1 - Grain strikes back edition, not DNR strikes back edition

I've got a good feeling about this one. Hot on the heels of their Die Hard victory, i'm optimistic Fox isn't going to s*** the bed.

Predator in 4K.

I'll be all over this even before Arnold can complete saying "Get to da Choppa!"

If you want to see the possibilities of this title, itunes is streaming a 4K version right now with all the grain intact.

I think it’s safe to say that this will have the grain intact. Like others have said if they put in the same effort they did with Die Hard this will look fantastic, better than Die Hard since the majority was shot in daylight. The nighttime scenes with the torches should look fantastic.

Excellent news.

I'm encouraged by what Fox did with Die Hard. Predator deserves great UHD treatment.

Predator is top 5 for me. If I can get it as good or better than Die Hard just was... and you guys always shout out the iTunes version with grain in tact. Oh baby.

Damn skippy - those daylight jungle scenes should really pop! I've always hated one shot in this otherwise beautiful movie tho, that really far away clip when he's escaping and I guess it's his double leaping off the cliff, swinging his arms as he plummets into the water...it's ugly AF for some reason, super blurry and distracting, as if you're suddenly watching on a different format (sub VHS even lol), seems like it was zommed WAY in and lost all clarity (could have always been that way, even theatrical). Very curious to see what happens there.

Commenters on the 4k itunes transfer currently available have been very positive, so I'm sure the DNR worries are history.
