Does it? I'm having trouble finding anything about this that's appealing. Garner does not seem convincing in this type of role. I know she did Alias like a hundred years ago, but since then all I've seen are in are terrible Christian movies and Hallmark movies. What am I missing that everyone else is so excited about?

I wouldn't say Garner's the problem but more of the believe-ability of the story.
Taken and Colombiana, for example, are movies that you have to swallow a lot to but into and this movie falls into where those are.

To be fair for Garner, she did some good physical work in The Kingdom and Electra. Also, she's been in only one faith based film while the rest range between serious dramas and light comedies.

Maybe this can be the movie that the recent DEATH WISH should have been...

Yeah, exactly. I'm surprised people are referencing Capital One and Elektra and completing missing on where things started for her. It'll be great to see her in an action role after so long.

from the trailer it looks like it actually might "deliver" more. I could very well be wrong, it seems like they just can't make a good vigilante movie like they did decades ago... PC Hollywood perhaps.. I don't know.

no, I don't think so--- was looking for action yes, maybe some style, some suspense... maybe a satisfying ending... maybe Willis doing a better job than normal...
