I'm actually thinking this might be a possible next gen only game in the end if it releases after next gen consoles but i suppose if it's in the first 12-18 months, there's a chance it could be on PS4/X1 too. Just a scaled back version. After all, they even released The Witcher 3 onto Switch

I'd like to be able to fly in these games, like on a dragon. If this game doesn't offer that, then it's kind of more of the same. No, but hopefully it offers a new game experience that offers new gameplay beyond what was possible in the last one, Skyrim.

i would think so. these games take forever, but def worth the wait. a lot of great RPGs coming this year and next to hold us over tho

Damn, I can't think 5 years into the future. I'm putting this one on the forget about list.

If I'm still alive in 24/25 then maybe I'll start getting excited about it. And then only if a VR version is confirmed. If this comes to VR, could be my number one most anticipated game though. But no use even thinking about it if it's that far into the future.

If you read the article posted today, Microsoft has basically bought out Bethesda, so all future games made by Bethesda (Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Dishonored, etc.) will more than likely now be Xbox and PC only. So if you were planning on getting Elder Scrolls 6 for PS5, that might no longer be an option.

Oh, didn't catch that part. I read some of it, and skimmed through some but didn't see that. At least if I did, it didn't register, lol. I had VR on the brain that's all I was looking for.

Hmmm interesting. Well, just have to see how that plays out when the time comes I guess. "Shrugs" As mentioned can't really think that far ahead anyway, have no idea where I'll be or what I'll be doing then.

Still does not specifically address if that means future Bethesda games will only come to Xbox and PC. Even if Bethesda still self publishes, chances are, if Microsoft overall owns the properties, they will want to keep them exclusive to their platforms.

They also own Minecraft too but that's released on every platform under the Sun.

MS will use the deal to bolster their Gamepass service, likely offering early access to major titles first only GPU with other platforms to follow.

They are already honouring the PS5 exclusives that are already due to be released like Deathloop.

Id bet anything on all future Bethesda titles being xbox/pc exclusives. If anything they'll launch on xbox a year before they go multiplatform. Like rise of the tomb raider for example.

The contracts for those games were already in place. MS has no real reason to allow Fallout & Elder Scrolls on PS consoles now. That would be like Sony putting God of War on XB.

Good point. Bethesda being owned by Microsoft and offering its Elder Scrolls to the PS5 is like Sony making Last of Us and Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank ports for the XBox consoles. It's probably never going to happen since it draws people to their console, and to take that exclusive away would give less reason to owning a PS5.

MS scored a major win with Bethesda. Goodbye future Fallout, Elderscrolls, etc... Unless I eventually buy an XBSX.

Crazy that recent reports say not until 2028. That would suck. How can there be five years empty between Starfield and Elder Scrolls Six?
