I have always considered this a terrible movie.
But it's Sony, so.... I will wait for my buddy to buy it, and borrow from him to look at how pretty it looks haha

Never understood the hate for this movie, I actually really enjoyed this movie when I last saw it on cable a long time ago. Super-hyped for the 4K release and since it's Sony, what could possibly go wrong?

Hook is (was) awesome. I never understood the hate for it either. It's a children's movie btw. Freeking loved it when I was a kid.

Remember that one year where Charlie Korsmo was in everything?

I still associate him with Dick Tracy more than anything else. DT is one of the rare movies I saw in the theater as a kid and I never saw it again. Would be really interested in watching that one again.

If I could have any Korsmo movie on UHD it would definitely be What About Bob?

I've always thought everything before they get to Neverland and he becomes Pan was extremely well done and cleverly conceived. The rest of the film from then on drags. One of those films I adored as a child and then got progressively worse every time I watched it as I got older. That kind of seems poetic in a way.

John Williams does some great work here and really carries the film at times.

I never bought this on BD and on occasion I watch it on TV. I enjoy the movie, especially during the holidays. I'll probably get this one. Maybe they'll do a steel for the release.

Charlie Korsmo is someone who seems to be have been intelligent enough to put his face into a 90's era future prediction generator or something? Deciding he wasn't a chance in hell to be a movie star by 40....

<---- And how right he was. Good call, sir.

I actually love this movie more than the Disney Animated film. Hook was in dire need of a spruce up. Hoping for good results.

This. I love the first third and last third of this movie, but the middle is such a mixed bag. I like the scenes with Jack and the pirates, but the stuff with Peter and the Lost Boys is obnoxious. Still, I find the other 2/3 strong enough that it turns into a film I overall like (though I prefer the Disney, Universal, and even WB prequel films over this).

I'm on the fence with a 4K release. If this were to finally get supplements, that would be cement it for me. Maybe if I clap loud enough?

Great movie, watched many times when I was younger. Watched recently again on Netflix, and I still loved it.

I hope this gets a US release!

Seeing this, Step Brothers, and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo threads this morning has been a real treat!

It's the lost boys and making them somehow pseudo "hip" with their dialog and actions that killed the film. Absolutely horrible casting and scripting choices were made.

Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams steal the movie and run away with it. They're fantastic as always. If not for their scene chewing, Hook would have been an abomination.

Yeah, the Lost Boys really torpedos what is an otherwise good movie, but there's enough outside of them -- including John Williams' gorgeous score -- that I'm always drawn to it.

This is going to look insane.

I've seen much worse films released in recent years with far more glaring problems that don't get near enough the hate Hook gets. This film has way too much going for it IMO.
