One of the insiders said to expect batman to drop a week or two before dark knight (july 18). Hopefully, someone can talk WB into dropping matrix a week or two before Speed Racer (may 9), since they were by the same director. But, I doubt it, they are talking holiday season for matrix.

Are you serious? Have you seen the HD DVD versions? They looked pretty awesome in 1080p to me. While it would be nice to get higher bit rate versions, i cant imagine them looking much better.

These are must haves and I can't wait to see the #'s on these titles once they are available for purchase.

what I saw playing on the toshiba at my local bestbuy didnt look like WOW I WANT that... btw thats beyond the point, it's a different disk and our disk can do things theirs can't so we should see some upgrade's this isnt gaming where they recycle games for the systems.

You are right, but movie companies are notorious for trying to get things done fast and cheap. Id expect a quick port over at first. THen later in a couple of years release a "Special edition" that has a higher encode and some other features. Sucks, but I dont know if alot of companies will spend the money at first to redo movies.

That's the first problem right there.

Lol that is true. I went to a circuit city the other day that had the BD of Rat playing and it didnt look that good, compared to what i have at home. I think they just put those tvs on right out of the box and dont calibrate them. I actually liked the picture of BMB and Matrix Trilogy on my hd dvd, thought they were among the best ive seen on either format.

Well the first was good fresh, the second and third eeh kinda cheezy besides already have them on dvd I don't need them to stink in 1080p.

I liked the 2nd movie, but i felt the 3rd kinda lost alot since 80% of the movie took place in the real world. The best parts of the matrix movies took place in the matrix.

Spank factor for those would pale in comparison to when Para finally drops HDDUD and releases Indy (at least for me).

How's your eyesight? I have better than 20/20 so I see things most people can't. Hd-dvd looks like High Grade VHS, like crap in other words. I would be very disappointed if they used the same transfer for hd-dvd, that they use for the first run blu-ray, of the same title.

Batman Begins was the best batman movie in along time; it made all of the other batman movies look like kids movies, in comparison. I can't wait for it to come out on Blu-ray! I love the Matrix it was awesome and having it on blu-ray will be even more awesome.
