While South Park was successful, it wasn't overnight. In fact prior to South Park being renewed this movie was already pitched with Chris Farley in the lead but Farley declined and Trey agreed to star if him and Matt Stone could rewrite the script. Trey signed on thinking South Park was a failure and film was a better option than TV, but South Park was renewed instead.

Hmm, never knew Farley was originally intended for the role.

I didn't like Orgazmo at all. Baseketball is much funnier to me. Team America is fantastic too.

Love this movie. I think you needed to have been a young slacker at the time this came out to really appreciate it. My buddy and I WERE these two guys back in the day. All the jokes and pop culture references in the film were things my buddy and I used to say to each other in our daily lives. It just hit every slacker note in our body and any time I do a re-watch, I get extremely nostalgic for those days (although truth be told I'm still a slacker at heart. The only difference is I can afford to buy my own sh*t now). Yeah this movie is dated. You could show this to an 18 year old and they probably wouldn't get 80% of the jokes (Unsolved Mysteries, what?) but it's more of a time capsule in my eyes. You had to be there man.
