That's why I said DVD quality.

FUNi really cheapened out there. They could've done a single disc BD and, while not optimal, it would at least be better than that DVD.

"It's a Rumik World." I don't think any of the OVAs have had an official release since Laserdisc.

If we're talking about the same thing, It's a Rumic World was released back in 2008, well past the death of LD, and was released on DVD and BD, along with a set of three figures.

Was it a domestic release though? I thought it was only released in Japan on DVD/BD.

Now I'm having flashbacks of watching Maris the Chojo and Mermaid Forest on laserdisc in the basement of my old house on a widescreen Trinitron.

Only in Japan, but yeah, Mermaid Forest/Scar, Fire Tripper, One Pound Gospel, and that weird anthology need to be re-released out here, hopefully properly.
