Yeah, liking the HMV art compaired to the Zavvi photoshop effort. But each to their own!

Don't know.

The steelbook is really good.

But the movie itself isn't great. It's better than the really really bad reviews online. I'd say 5 out of 10 personally.

But it doesn't really feel like a 15 rated movie.

It's a 12a with some added swear words to make it a 15. So they can blame the rating if it fails imo

^^ In all honesty, I think the artwork is some of the best I've seen on a SteelBook in many a year;
- no slathering of actors/directors/studio names to clutter the cover
- no groan inducing "critic ratings" on the cover
- strong forceful centre image with the film/character name drawn as part of the figure's mouth tendons in beautiful artwork vice silly photos
- simple black background
- simple, name only spine
I'm not sure what you would have preferred but this checks off all the boxes that I like to see!

Yep, same artwork.
Might be different in terms of boss/gloss, but that remains to be seen.
I’m curious to see in-hand pics of the blob box. At first I was put off by, but it has since grown on me.

I managed to preorder the Fnac Exclusive of Venom 4K + Blu-ray + Bonus disc Steelbook (with profile ‘jaw’ Project Pop Art artwork) during a freakishly low pricing period on the day the preorder first appeared.

I no longer want this as I’m getting the 3D. Rather than cancel I thought I’d offer someone here the opportunity to benefit from my discount and get it sent to them VERY well protected (as opposed to a risky Amazon delivery etc).
I could dispatch it as soon as I receive it (anytime 18th-22nd February). You would have to contact + pay me by 11th February or I will cancel the preorder.[/U].

International delivery options:
[Show spoiler]In ALL cases below I can package it VERY well, so sturdy thick cardboard, lots of bubble wrap etc, or as you wish (anything up to 60x60x60cm 500g allowed).
Standard (non-tracked) is at your risk entirely. Tracked delivery is insured fully if there are issues.

Prices include item + delivery (zero profit on my end, packaging free, tips welcome)

Example countries:

United Kingdom
£23.40 total, using Standard delivery (5-9 days)
£31.50 total, using Tracked delivery (2-3 days)

France and Germany
€25.72 total, using Standard delivery (4-8 days)
€34.62 total, using Tracked delivery (2-3 days)

United States
$32.14 total, using Standard delivery (7-15 days)
$45.65 total, using Tracked delivery (3-7 days)

Italy and Spain
€25.72 total, using Standard delivery (6-12 days)
€34.62 total, using Tracked delivery (2-3 days)

Australia
AUD$ 44.80 total, using Standard delivery (10-15 days)
AUD$ 63.65 total, using Tracked delivery (6-10 days)

Hong Kong
HKD$ 251.83 total, using Standard delivery (8-12 days)
HKD$ 357.78 total, using Tracked delivery (5-8 days)

They are still trading and I wonder if certain steelbooks like Venom got locked in and paid for before going into administration hence why they not been allocated else where. I re ordered certain steelbooks else where but left open those that had not moved. I do hope HMV have the Venom 4K Steelbook and they go on long enough to ship that at least. Looking on their site they even updated the steelbooks that went to other sites as limited removing the HMV exclusive tag and some others retained it so fingers crossed.

It probably depends on studios. Ive noticed that Sony and Warner titles have stuck with HMV, while Paramount and Universal jumped.

I noticed that as well. Which is why I wondered if they made HMV pay up upfront to secure the steelbooks which also help

Well as long as they are trading next week hopefully we might see Venom ship as long as the administrators don't pull the plug. Fingers crossed.
