Have had a Plasma for about a month now, and I have been really concious about all the burn-in talk. I don't game on it and I use the "just" aspect on non-widescreen programs, so I hope all will be OK. What is the importance of the 100 hr no burn-in period? Other than that, I have enjoyed the plasma expierence, and I could not go back to SD!

67" DLP, $2400....No side-angle issues...I sit 8' away, and 10' to right of center a lot and its GREAT.

bottom line:
i could not put down the same price for a 46" LCD when the 67" is DOUBLE THE SIZE (areawise)....I'm suprised the vote isn't higher for DLP...

i have a 42" Plasma, and i love it, i was going to get a lcd but i really can't stand the motion blur that it creates and the 120htz technology looks terrible, it make the movie look like a soap opera , plasma to me produces way better blacks, the screen burn in thing haven't had any mager problem, if something does burn in it goes away shortly and dlp projections i don't like the angle issues.

I have a 61 inch Samsung DLP and I love it. I have a dedicated home theather room with recliners in front of the TV and it looks and sounds great. If I can gather more money I might pick up another DLP (slimline samsung) for the family room.

I own a couple of Panasonic Plasma T.V.'s, but don't know much about maintenance. What exactly is the "all white and all color maint.?"

I have a 65" Mitsubishi DLP and it is fantastic. Due to my room layout I have it at a 45 degree angle in the corner so depth is not an issue and there is no place in the room you can sit and have any off-axis issues. Bright, clear picture, sharp from corner to corner, great color and BIG what more could you want?

It isn't really a thing of the past if you have to do preventative maintenance every couple of days...

But if I could afford a 61 inch LCD, that is what I would have gotten. I don't even know if they make them that big, but LCD is really the way to go right now. I just don't like the difference in size. You can get a 61 inch DLP for the same price as a 40 or so inch LCD. I don't like losing 20 inches. I would rather have a bigger TV. I always watch my movies from pretty much the same angle anyway, so I don't have any real issues with my DLP.

Laser TVs are probably next, but the technology will probably take a few more years to get the price competitive with LCDs and DLPs.

I wouldn't touch a plasma. Aren't those about two or three times the price of an equivalent LCD or DLP? And they have a bad reputation for dimming and/or burning out over a few years, and that would SUCK after paying two or three times as much for it. No thank you.
Its obvious you have never looked into anything.....at all.....

old news, it's already on sale in Japan and will be in the States in about two months! OLED screen, SONY is very exprinced with this and has been doing OLED for a long time!!! 11inch price at: US$2799.99

so for now, I go with my beloved Bravia LCD, but once SONY can make OLED bigger than 52, i'll switch, that's the future, just think the quality of that TV with BluRAy... oh wow!
