They'd better have their original Atmos tracks with them.

Paramount bungled the 4K releases of Hercules and GI-JOE Retaliation (in the UK) and Universal did with The Croods and How To Train Your Dragon 2 by forgetting their theatrical Atmos tracks when reissuing them on 4K.

Do you have any sources, official announcement, or confirmation of this? It's been rumored and talked about for a while with no basis. Would be great though!

what's interesting in WB sent out an email a.few months back asking there subscribers what UHDs they'd like to see in the future. If memory serves me correct I thought it was for potential 2021 titles. They list was collective of:

Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, The Fugitive, Lost Boys as well as MGM titles of RoboCop, Rocky, Princess Bride, and Platoon.

none of these titles have been speculated on other the Lost Boys not being scheduled for 2021.

Ninja Turtles is not getting 4K in 2021 - the rest above are correct. Add on Max Max 2 and Space Jam.

I wasn't asking about Polar Express. SB0780's answer was referring to Quint van der Vaart's response about Gravity and Godzilla (2014) as shown by the quote.

He answered "Yep, those two are coming to 4K in 2021" after quoting "...i do hope Warner will finally release Gravity and Godzilla (2014) on 4k in 2021" so anyone who reads this would think he's referring to "those two" movies. There's no other way of reading that.

I was just asking where the confirmation/proof/source is that "those two" (referring to Gravity and Godzilla) are coming to 4K, as after doing a search, I don't find anything and same for the other list above. Sources for any of this?

Wondering the same thing. Been hoping for these in 4K for a while! Any reference by Warner or reputable source?

I can't reveal my source, but I did reveal Blade, V for Vandetta, Home Alone and Hocus Pocus several months before they were announced.

Expect Godzilla 4K first in 2021. Gravity second or third. Space Jam will tie in with the sequel's release. Shawshank and Mad Max 2 will be later in the year. Willy Wonka somewhere in between all that.

Willy Wonka I expected, since next year is the movie's 50th Anniversary.

2021 is the 50th anniversary of Dirty Harry, 80th for Citizen Kane - but they didn't do anything in 2019 for Ben-Hur (one of my all-time favorite films) and that had an 8K transfer sitting in the vaults.

I just watched The Polar Express Blu-ray for the 1st time on my 4K LG C9 OLED paired up with the Panasonic 820 and Wow!!! I have never seen the movie look this good!! I thought it looked amazing on my parents's older Panasonic Plasma but it looks incredible on a 4K screen. If they ever make a 4K, whether next year or 2024 for it's 20th Anniversary, it will look gorgeous, especially with HDR!!

Only thing I hope they do is redo the audio track. It's so front heavy and there are some sound effects that should be expanded across the sound stage that isn't. I know it's a children's movie and when made in 2004, most people didn't have surround sound, so it makes sense. Now a days, there are people who have sound bars and surround sound and expanding the sound stage out would be ideal!

Zemeckis would probably opt for a Dolby Atmos remix, since his films Forrest Gump and the Back to the Future series in 4K had it.
