Let us not forget Sony's Godzilla film will (likely) be released on UHD-BD next year too. Even though the 4K master on that is dated and goes all the way back to the MI4K program, it should still look great with a fresh HDR grade. I think it will hit in the Fall or Holiday sale period, when King Of The Monsters hits home video.

You guys that are excited about this movie need to watch Cobra Kai on Youtube Red if you haven't seen it already. It was one of my favorite shows of 2018. Pure fun.

Damn. The last time I saw this was on VHS back in the early 90s, and never got around to getting the DVD or the stellar BD. I'm definitely grabbing this and hopefully I can see Daniel-san get his baby rattle back in Part II as well

I hope that Cobra Kai makes it to 4K disc. It broadcast in 4K on youtube and it looked excellent. Unfortunately that streaming service and its associated buffering and timeouts were pretty terrible.

Totally agree. Cobra Kai was excellent.

Karate Kid in 4K = Day 1 purchase. Hopefully we get part 2 as well. Peter Cetera in Atmos!

I knew when I finally ordered the Blu-ray a few months ago this would happen. The Blu-ray looked amazing on my OLED. Can't even fathom how great the 4K will look

now bring on other 80s stuff they already have mastered in 4k like Princess Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, etc. (and older stuff like South Pacific, West Side Story, The Sound Of Music, Carousel, etc.; and newer stuff like The Force Awakens, Rogue One)

and might be a time to finally get the missing John Hughes films off DVD!!!! at least to blu fer crying out loud

I didn't get the last Blu-ray, so I'm down for this!

I'd even consider an HD or 4k disc release of Cobra Kai. It's not a perfect series, but it does seem like a fairly authentic tie-in to the original. The vibe is similar and it feels like the series producers are more respectful of the story than those who made the sequel movies.

I have the blu ray and it looks pretty good. Although i do enjoy the movie to some degree it's not something I feel the need to upgrade.
