Suggestions for Insiders threads - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

To those complaining...well, the Insiders Thread worked pretty well before. I think that its's just too hard right now with all of the good news for the mods to keep up. Plus, we're all being teased quite a bit (by the Insiders, and in a good way).

Let it go.

After CES things should go back to normal, and a new thread will be started and mod'd.

I've hovered between here and AVS for my HD fix, and the one thing I thought AVS did really well was how it managed the insider thread with strict Q&A. With this new policy in place I'll have even less reason to go to AVS at all. Pretty much everything a High-Def fan needs is here now.

Guys, over the past nine months we've had just about every iteration of the Insiders Thread tried by the mods.

Now that there have been tectonic shifts in the marketplace, I suppose we could get comparable tectonic shifts in our approach to the insiders -- who will be multiplying and covering different areas -- releases, marketing, studio issues, tech issues related to transfers, tech issues related to players & AV gear, etc.

It might be best to just create sticky threads by area, to at least provide some chance of finding the answer one needs.

But I don't harbor an illusion that any insiders' thread here can be completely free of happy chaos.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

And this is really saying something, because I never agree with Esox!

Since CES is officially over, I think the mods can safely REBOOT and create another insider thread.

Fifth'd for the reboot and new format.

Also, Ive seen many HDDVD guys soften their heart towards BD after the WB announcement. If they hold their hand out, dont cut it off!

And an insider tracking thread. But it may be a good idea to wait until after Universal and Paramount go Blu. Because when that happens things are going to get very crazy here.

I disagree, we need a new thread now for Insiders to discuss issues. It needs some kind of restrictions. WE cant wait two mo's for someone to make an announcement.

Set something restircted up asap.
