I grew up watching those movies. I love the scenes with Michael Winslow and his noises. Even though they’re terrible films, they hold a special place in my heart.
Add to the list Ace Ventura, Airheads, Frankenstein, In The Army Now, Interview With The Vampire, and Maverick. Last edited by ivanolo; 01-03-2019 at 06:54 PM. |

To the kid's credit, he has a keen interest in pre-digital F/X techniques and is always up for a double-feature of "old movies" with his weird Uncle.

I had a real-life moment like this a few years ago, talking with a cousin of mine who's in her 20s. I started the conversation with the phrase "When I was your age", and immediately dialed back with, "Hold on - I'm too young to say that!" She just smiled and laughed.

Blu-ray Samurai

The other day I was watching (well, it was on in the background) a 1994 episode of Columbo with William Shatner. That was around the time of Generations when, at the time, he was often mocked for still boldly going at his age. Yet seeing him in the episode now, I kept thinking how relatively young he looked.

The Crow is definitely one of the best films ever made. When you strip away the violence and darkness, it boils down to a love story that conquers death. That's such a common theme, because we all want to trust that a love exists in the world, that continues for us even when our natural life doesn't. Its very sad that Brandon died during filming; I think he'd have loved to see how appreciative fans have been over the years. Sadly, the sequels pretty much suck, though I liked Eric Mabius' performance in Salvation.

The Chase!
That's a movie I'd love to own on blu ray. At least find a cheap copy on DVD. Also happy anniversary to: The Flintstones Blue Chips Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and, yeah the ones already been said. |

This is very subjective. Classic movies for me are the ones made before i was born.
