**** yeah, wants them all. And note the giant PARAMOUNT logo on the side, for although the ability to use the intellectual property now resides with the Mouse the distribution rights to the four that Paramount made will stay with them in perpetuity*.

I think they're some premium retailer from Asia. That boxset in the picture is probably an exclusive. (It says it's just the 4K discs, which sounds Paramount-y after their Transformers set.)

WHAT! I wonder if Raiders will retain the more "golden" look.

Totally agree.

Raiders, Doom, Crusade, Skull, no question for me.

Raiders and Skull are hardly controversial placements. I think it really comes down to whether you liked Doom or Crusade better. Personally, I thought the humor was too slapstick for my taste in Crusade and Doom was just a more enjoyably hard-edged adventure for me. But I can understand people who flip those two as well, as Crusade is the more feel-good flick. I don't understand any other lists, though, lol. Raiders is the best, Skull is the worst, and that's just empirical fact. :P

lol I don't disagree, they're certainly different experiences. As I've gotten older the "funhouse thrills" of Temple of Doom diminish for me on repeat viewing. I still love it, its gorgeous to look at it and Williams' score may be the best of them all, but the character element is paper-thin and I find Kate Capshaw positively annoying. It's a lot of set-pieces and a lot of gallows humor, but there's very little in it beyond that and story wise it's empty. Last Crusade has the Ford/Connery dynamic, and much more "human engagement," which I find a lot more satisfying. It may be a Raiders recycle but it has a heart, and I like the father/son relationship between them.

No matter what the first 3 films are "here"....and Skull is "there." For me it's much more of a disgrace to this series than the usually maligned SW prequels are to the original trilogy.

Anyway it'd be nice to get this out in 4K ASAP!

Guess that's another off my 2019 top 5 wishlist, though I hope Raiders can get a standalone release since it's the only one I'm really after.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of my most rewatched movies ever. This is exciting!
