Watched this today and thought it was dreadful tbh. It's pretty short and I just couldn't get into it.
To make matters worse I was sent the dvd by mistake

Just watched "Possum" on Blu-ray. Creepy as f***! The Radiophonic Workshop soundtrack is the icing on the cake. The short, "A Gun For George", is a lot of retro fun and lightens the mood. As one critic said, it was the visual equivalent of having a slug dropped down the back of your neck.

That movie was black as pitch and disturbing as hell. But it was brilliantly made and the sound and point of view was perfect to put you inside the main character's head... god forbid! It's not a horror movie. It's a psychological drama.

Can anyone confirm if this Region B release can be played on a US player?

The Bulldog disc is regionmalarkyfree.

Watched this yesterday - I find this kind of movie to be suitable only for one of those rare nights at home alone. Very atmospheric, with a creeping sense of forboding dread.

And thank Cthulhu not EVERYTHING IS SPELLED OUT FOR YOU!!! SO YOU ARE CONSTANTLY BEING HIT OVER THE HEAD WITH OBVIOUSNESS!!! like in a lot of more mainstream movies.

I thought the main feature had its moments but it didn’t really grab me (although it’s always good to see Alun Armstrong onscreen). I think I streamed it from somewhere. But then I found out that the Blu-ray contained the absolutely brilliant A GUN FOR GEORGE as an extra and I snapped it up quick. As far as I’m concerned, POSSUM is the extra on this disc.

It's definitely not a film for everyone, but I thought Possum was terrific. Creepy and disturbing, with another brilliantly intense Sean Harris performance. The UK blu-ray was worth every cent.
