Really happy about the box office on this. It’s poised to have the highest opening of the series(unadjusted for inflation).

Now coming in at 60 Million. By far the best opening in the series.

Alita dropping 60%, Isn't It Romantic around 47%, Lego Movie 2 55%, and Fighting With My Family taking in around 7.6 Million for its first weekend of wide release.

Yeah, I don’t get where the idea that it would make more than last weekend comes from. Aside from holiday season releases, where it’s still very rare, when does that ever happen?

And really its 58% drop is not that dramatic, 55-60% seems to be common for effect heavy comic book movies. Deadpool dropped 57.4% off its Presidents Day opening for instance (very similar), now Black Panther dropped under 45% but that was a unique case and would be unrealistic to expect Alita to hold up better than that.
