Groundbreaking and AWESOME. Just finished watching this (first episode) and Polar, as previously stated, this reminds me of liquid television (great animated concept story telling for its time).

There is so much try-hard faux edginess that takes away from the overall experience, but I'm so glad there's a platform for experimental anthology animation like this. I don't know how influential Heavy Metal or the MTV animated shorts were in their day, or even how influential Adult Swim has been, but I hope this is motivation for more animation aimed at older audiences. Be it on streaming, or theatrical.

I don't generally watch much animated stuff, but this caught my eye on Netflix. I've watched a handful and a bit of the episodes and its been pretty cool. I like the short running time; definitely easier to watch than 13 hour long episodes of stuff. I think the short lengths and the anthology style suit the format here so I'm down with it... something I'd easily rewatch again as well.

I finished watching the season and I really liked the show. Of course, I liked some episodes better than others but overall, it was good. I hope they do more seasons.

They're all so fun and different, w/ varying quality and lengths. I loved them, even the weakest one to me was worth it cuz it was just different from the norm.

Supposedly some people are getting a different order of episodes for this series. Mine started w/ Sonnie's Edge. And goddamn, I LOVED that one.

The Yogurt one I enjoyed a lot. Just so funny to me.

I'd love another one of these. Doesn't matter how strong or weak an episode is, it matters just for existing. Just out of the norm, you know?

I got Three Robots first then Sonnie's Edge. So far Sonnie's Edge wins for me. I wish there was more. I wouldn't mind a whole season.

Really liked these. Several of them while watching I kept thinking "these could be converted to movies".

The CGI animations were surprisingly good with a lot of episodes taking advantage of the Dolby Vision.

need more now!

funny you should mention that - I've only watched three episodes so far, but when you compare this to say the 1980's movie (never saw the sequel), this series makes the movie look pale in comparison. granted animation has jumped in leaps and bounds, the stories have the varied component of the movie and magazine, but here without restrictions from the MPAA and running time limitation this series has such an intensity and voracity - it's damn impressive!

S1 was very good. Like the diversity of the episodes, all very different animations and stories. This trailer looks ridiculously good.

Glad it's back!

Making my way through season 2 right now. Incredible so far, easily as good as season 1, I just got to the Christmas short, I don't think I laughed that much in years, I had to stop!

I got myself high on some amnesia lemon Kush and binged the entire series and it was amazing. I liked the stories better and the animation style that accompanied it. Nothing longer then maybe 14 minutes an episode. Just wish they had more than 8 to watch but at least we know a volume 3 is coming

Loved the first season, but did not care for the second. The first had many memorable shorts, many of which left you wanting to watch more of the universe they exist in. I just never got that vibe from season two.

I agree that the X-mas episode was fun, but the other 7 were mostly forgettable.

I wanted to just quickly watch one episode and ended up watching four. Found all of them great. Need more.

Yeah i unfortunately agree with you. 1st season had 18 eps, 2nd season 8. Not sure what that is about. Out of the 8, i'd say half were good. Only Snow in the Dessert being memorable. That's a far cry from S1. Hope they don't wait another year to drop more. Need better eps as well.
