Godzilla (1998) 4K Steelbook (Best Buy Exclusive)

My dad actually loved this movie so much when i was a kid, the scene at the end with the egg cracking that made you think there'd be a sequel he complained about for years how hes still waiting for the sequel. Even now he'll make the occasional crack about it. To him this is the true godzilla and even though i grew up with the hero godzilla cartoon that's more like the modern movies being released he still prefers the the 1998 movie. Im with a lot of fans in thinking the newer films are better but ill have to buy this because of my dad's relationship with it alone. its still an enjoyable movie regardless though.

Pretty interesting how several concepts and ideas of the Godzilla 2 script wound up being incorporated into both Godzilla 2014 and Godzilla: Final Wars. Too bad it never was made. Could have been decent.

holding out hope it ends up something else just because everything else coming out that day got new art. but i held out hope into the spiderverse would be 4k and we all know how that played out.

Disappointed with both the Godzilla and Alien 4k steelbook art but it could have been a lot worse.

Was hoping for some fresh new art. I've got enough copies of the movie with the Eye on the cover, I'm sticking to just the slipped UHD release then.

now that field up dreams art is up. this feels more like placeholder art next to the other 5/14 arts. oh well worst case scenario it doesn't change and theres 1 less thing to buy on 5/14

I think the steelbook artwork could be better but it's not so "bad" that it will stop me from getting it.

This art is fine but I think I like the standard release one better.
