They have to finish funding the restoration first. ETA for Rarities Vol. II says March 2020 on the Kickstarter page.

Was it pushed back? I thought it was slated for this fall?

That's too bad. But I'm sure it will be even better for it. And we have others coming to keep us busy until then.

Don't worry. It will come out and it will be worth the wait.

undoubtedly. I can wait for the final product, but I'm dying to learn more about the lineup.

There've been hints and various comments and whisperings about the set for a while now, and I'm intrigued to know what it all adds up to.

... such as this post from last year:

So far, there are no matches for actual 3-D footage but there might be more rolls where these were found.

I've been looking for rare 3-D material for more than 40 years and STILL get excited with this kind of discovery. Footage is out there, just waiting to be found and restored. The search goes on.

Keep your fingers crossed!

My first thought was of some Son of Sinbad 3D outtakes that were shown a number of years ago, and that there might have been more where those came from, but that's probably a longshot. Mostly I'm just curious about all this footage emerging, whether it was the tip of an iceberg, or the last remnants, whether matches were found, as well as curious about other footage mentioned elsewhere. Exciting to consider the possibilities.

Third Dimensional Murder is mentioned in the link above. That also would be great to see as I have only seen the anaglyph version that looks terrible on TCM.

Rumor is that it will be released commercially in March of 2020. Anybody have any info (Bob?) as to when it will go out to the $100+ supporters on the kickstarter?

That late? I thought it was very early 2020. I would have said very early was January or February at the latest.

Campaign organizer Eric Kurland at 3-D Space will announce the official date via Kickstarter just as soon as we have that locked in.

We are about 95% finished with the feature restoration and it looks spectacular.

Thanks!

What I would love is those two 3D Three Stooges shorts included on here.

Yes I know they are on the Mad Magician release but as much as I love the Stooges I am not paying almost $200.00 to get them.

Just watched The Mad Magician, along with those two Three Stooges shorts, a few nights ago. It's too bad TT didn't increase the number of units for this release. It's a really good one. They should have known something like this would sell out quickly.

I think it took a few years to sell out.

Wow, I'm glad I picked up The Mad Magician during a TT sale a little while back. I knew nothing about the movie aside from Vincent Price being enjoyable, so it was somewhat of a blind buy. But I figured if I didn't enjoy The Mad Magician (I did) it was worth it for me to get those two Three Stooges Shorts I remember seeing on TV in anaglyphic 3D when I was a kid. I recorded them and watched that tape so many times it's a wonder it didn't fall apart!

It’s gone quiet with this release lately. Any juicy gossip about other shorts added?
