He could get an honorary Oscar for not only ruining Luke Skywalker but the entire mystery genre for Knives Out.

Add in Late Night. It also got raves out of Sundance, for Mindy's script and Emma Thompson's role. I expect it or The Farewell to take the Big Sick/Eighth Grade position during awards season.

Episode IX is guaranteed an Oscar..... if the Academy creates a category for best conclusion of the Skywalker saga.

He has John Lithgow in his Best Supporting Actor list. It'd be almost moving to see such a beloved character actor back at the Oscars after 36 years.

Fun Fact: out of the 4 main actors in Shrek, John Lithgow is the only one who still has a career.

I predict 'The Irishman' to be the big winner @ the 2020 Oscars. It's a more interesting and serious story.

Tarantino is more a comedy, a Hollywood comedy.

This is only an early guess, from what they are all talking about that early.
Netflix is going to do it again. Stay tuned, less than a year to go still.

Rarely does the early-year slam-dunk end up panning out, in fact I'm not sure it ever does (12 Years A Slave might be the one exception). Guessing anything right now is pointless.

Even 12 Years a Slave didn’t look like a sure thing way in advance (though was mentioned as a possibility) with a director whose films had been seen as “too tough” for the academy. Probably the last time the widely assumed year in advance favorite won was Return of the King, and obviously a special case coming off two straight BP nominations, plus there were still doubts about its genre for a long time.

But really, these way in advance guesses are just for fun, nobody expects to be accurate this far out with how seasons unfold. Even this year if you would’ve asked in December, most of us thought A Star is Born would win BP, and in the end it was likely at the bottom of the category along with Vice.

It's funny if you look at what Vice got nominated for, it pretty much syncs up with what everyone expected a year ago. Too bad the movie didn't end up actually deserving most of those nominations...

It's not actually the conclusion of the Skywalker saga on the off chance a certain someone gets a certain someone else pregnant!

True, we should not guess, it's pointless. We should wait till we see them all.
We shouldn't play games and start predicting; it's for Twitter accounts only.
Except for 12 Years a Slave.

You got it; it's for fun...we love to live life with fun. We are a year ahead, this is what it's all about; having fun talking, discussions, predicting, guessing, film talk and all that jazz.
...Get the passion pumping in anticipation. Loving living life. Happy Birthday to my bro!
It is his birthday.
