This is the type of thing that is going to get more people to adopt the 4K format. People walk into the store and they see unexpected nostalgia sitting right there on the shelves, in never-before-seen quality. I love it.

Im an Aussie but damn i love baseball and for some reason i cant think of any other sport that has such wonderful films.

The movie has a real magic and wonderful score.

I'm also one who never seen this but I think it's great Redford stuff trickles onto 4K. This was unexpected. Literally a day after I was musing about some movies just probly won't make it to the format (don't get your hopes up etc) one hits that a lot of us are outright unfamiliar with lol Trust Sony to keep cranking them out. Where's Social Network, though, dudes?

Probably won't be biting myself, I hope it finds a market as there are others I'd really love to get from this leading man. Mother dearest LOVES Out of Africa and I bought every special packaging of that for her on DVD and Blu-ray and 4K needs to follow suit

Baseball films are great. And this is a beaut. Sony are hitting home runs in 4k.

Sony seems to like releasing titles on UHD that most wouldn't think needs the 4K HDR boost, while sitting on titles that would get more people excited (Lawrence of Arabia, Taxi Driver, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Panic Room, Hellboy).

Anyway, I think this is a great movie and knowing, Sony it'll look fantastic. Would make a good pairing with Universal's Field of Dreams disc coming later this year. Both have magical fantasy aspects to them.

I've no interest in baseball or baseball films either (but I did love playing rounders at school in the late fifties), but this is a great film. It's not so much about baseball, more about good & evil, &, er...stuff like that. As everyone says, fantastic score, it should have won the Oscar.

Holy Cow! (ya, Cubs fan). Did not see this coming, but what a movie!
As others have said, it’s not just baseball but fixing sports (evil), crazy psycho fans (evil), heroes, second chances, redemption, and family. Never realized Caleb was the DOP for this too, just The Right Stuff.

This is in my top ten sports movies, too many great ones to have one favorite.
