Well consider me sold. Also, gore doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Well technically he first did it in Ideon, but close enough.

And, here’s every Itano Circus you could ever want.

I can’t wait for this. Although I haven’t seen part 3 I did like part 1 and 2. Still have my DVD’s which include a mini poster on one side and a bunch of info about the OVA on the other.

I am happy to see the work that Animeigo is doing. I am a little bummed that they are releasing titles that have previously been on DVD. I was hoping that they were going to take a few chances on some series, movies and OVAs that haven't come stateside yet. Either some OVAs like California Crisis, or Girl from Phantasia. Shorter series like Slow Step or movies like the original Windaria. Happy to have Animeigo back in the game. Maybe they can pick up their release pace a bit with this one.

Titles with some name recognition in the West are likely a safer bet. It's also probably helpful if a title already has an HD master or a Blu-ray release in Japan (like Bubblegum Crisis, Riding Bean, Otaku no Video and Megazone 23). Some other good choices for them, IMO, might be Leda: The Fantastic Adventure of Yohko (which is getting a Blu-ray release in Japan this summer), Fight! Iczer-1, Dangaioh, or Genesis Climber Mospeada. Edit: Another title that needs a Blu-ray release in the West is the OOP Gunbuster OVA.

With uncensored music!

(I know, impossible. But then someone out there can re-mux (is that the correct term?) the original music back in.)

I picked up the old ADV dvd ages and ages ago - a very solid anime indeed. Am looking forward to throwing Animeigo some coin for this.

The original track had a Chariots of Fire vibe to it and no one wanted to be sued, so it was changed for the North American release.

Yep I remember doing that for the R1 DVD after acquiring the LPCM track from JP set. It wasn't just that that particular piece of music had changed, but the quality of the entire audio track for that disc/episode was messed up as a result.

I wonder if this really will include everything in the Japanese BD set, which had the International Version of Part II (the Johnny Winters/Suzy Sue dub), the Kumi Miyasato music clips, etc. it was a four disc set (1 BD25 for Part I, 1 BD25 for Part II, 1 BD50 for Parts IIIA and IIIB, and 1 BD50 for all of the extras).

I missed out on the kickstarter for Gun Smith Cats but at least you can still pick it up on the site. I went ahead and picked up the $30 set, good enough for me.

I definitely want to throw down on the Megazone kickstarter when it starts up

Apparently one of the rewards for the Bubblegum Crisis Kickstarter was an awesome production cel from the Hurricane Live music video. I wish I’d paid more attention to that now. I think I was a little annoyed at the time because I’d already spent a lot on the Japanese BD set.

For those that backed "Gunsmith Cats", check your emails, an email has been sent of a rough draft KS page for "Megazone 23". Out of respect, I won't update the OP until the page is live.
