This was obviously going to happen after Ragnarok was received incredibly well and Thor quickly became one of the most popular Avengers after Ragnarok and Infinity War.
Marvel might be shifting their schedule somewhat so the set release dates they have might not be what we get. Latest rumours indicate that we will have three MCU films in 2020, for example (Black Widow, The Eternals, Doctor Strange 2). And if we get a third Spider-Man film, we'll get that in 2021 (so Marvel will likely take one of their 2021 films off the schedule and add a release in 2020). As for Thor, we'll probably see it in 2021 or 2022. I'm leaning towards 2021. |

I agree. There’s tons of fans of Ragnarok, but I thought the first film of his was the best. His character serves more purpose in the group films.

Well, I'll take a wild guess that Thor is gonna survive Endgame. Otherwise how could they pitch Thor 4? Don't see a Captain America 4 or Iron Man 4 being pitched yet. I wonder if the Avengers have a retirement plan?

I still hope I live long enough to see The Invaders set in WWII with Cap, Namor and the Human Torch teaming up. We know the Human Torch exists in the MCU as we saw a glimpse of him in CA:TGA and with the success of Aquaman, Namor has got to be developed in the MCU quickly to "catch that Atlantis wave".

Natalie Portman is Open to Returning to MCU as Jane Foster
https://screenrant.com/natalie-portm...ster-thor-mcu/ But I want them to explore more cosmic stuff rather than Earth. |

Without Thor: Ragnarok, the subsequent "Bring Me Thanos" moment in Infinity War (and the arguable rehabilitation of the character and the rise of his cool quotient post-Ragnarok) would've been less enthusiastically received. Thor rode the wave of Ragnarok's success into and throughout the events of Infinity War.

I'd rather see Thor and Carol hook up instead.

Yeah. Cuz they made Jane such a solid character. Portman was wasted and it was embarrassing to see her used so simple and boring. Portman was looking for change after Thor 1 for sure. It didn't happen when Thor 2 got going.
