I have the Japanese boxed set - which is absolutely wonderful, and I'll be buying this one, too... just for the extras.

It seems to be gone now. I bought a new copy on eBay, the US site, for $25.18 which included shipping in January.

Bearer of bad news, but also confirmed by the BFI that the "Nobody Knows" disc has an audio sync issue and unfortunately will be released this way as they work on a replacement disc program.

Michael Brooke posted BFI's official response to the Criterion Forum, with their blessing, and asked that it be shared here

During the manufacturing of this release an error was introduced that resulted in the audio on Disc 3 (Nobody Knows) to be thrown out of synch. This isn’t something we could have foreseen but we are now in the process of getting it fixed. Due to this the release date will now be August 12th. Please note that no faulty copies have left warehouse and therefore no disc replacement programme will be necessary. We sincerely apologise for this delay and any disappointment it has caused.

More than happy to wait so they can get it right. Also, this month is really expensive.

What we need is a US or European release of his second film, Distance, which I have not yet seen. We also need a release of his television series, Going My Home, which is wonderful.

Luckily I managed to get it in the sale where it randomly appeared. Unfortunately it arrived damaged but I should have a new set soon since I sent it back after contacting customer service.

Going My Home sounds right up Arrows alley, they’ve done a great job with various other series already.

I think they're more likely to do them as individual releases, considering After the Storm already has its own release, but I definitely think they'll be available.

It's a lovely box, though, so I'd urge anyone who sees it at a decent price anytime to snap it up.

Nice. Still waiting for Amazon to dispatch mine, but not really in a rush due to a large to-watch pile.
I wonder how the Still Walking disc will compare with the other versions (I’ve got the Korean release, which presumably mirrored the Criterion).

It really is, BFI have outdone themselves. Even if it drops in price over the next year, I don’t mind at all, happy to support such a superb set.

Now I just need Our Little Sister and The Third Murder and my UK Koreeda collection is complete.

Indeed ! I do have Our Little Sister by Artificial Eye The Third Murder on Arrow .
Im such a huge fan and admire of Koreeda work .
