Yes, we'l be demonstrating a few Dolby Vision clips across the entire TV Shootout wall.

I'm positing Sony's A9G and LG's C9 next to each-other with 1" of space between each TV.

Just signed on with Youtube celebrity SpareChange to take care of the live feed of our 2019 TV Shootout. The channel will be moderated by the channel owner Shane so our Worldwide viewers can see, hear, ask questions and comment live during the entire event.

I love SpareChange's video at our 2018 TV Shootout and look forward to working with Shane again this year for our complete live coverage this year.

Sign up here to see and participate in the Q&A if you can't attend in person.

We're calibrating all of the TVs that will be in the TV Shootout. Kevin Miller and John Reformato are working together in our showroom.

Kevin Miller and John Reformato calibrating the TVs for our 2019 TV Shootout TV.

Monday we move everything into the Javits Convention Center and start the set-up and run through the agenda so we're practiced for the event.

I wondering how much of a spotlight will be placed on white clipping, particularly when it comes to HDR. Personally, I don't believe any display should be clipping white below 4000 nits.

We're putting up test patterns to demonstrate peak luminance and color volume performance and content to show how it effects the picture. We're also publishing the color volume on each TV.

Hope all who can't attend in person can watch the live Youtube webcast.

Hello Robert, I'm looking forward to this Shootout and I see one of your Target Markets are Streaming Content Providers. Will you be accessing and displaying any particular Streaming Providers like Amazon, Netflix, or Vudu? Also how will you connect Wired or Wireless straight to the TV's or through the Panasonic UB9000, and at what Bandwidth Speed?

I noticed...

The 15th Annual TV Shootout 2019 Live Streams on June 12

Now here's where I need help..
It says 9:00 am

You are talking California time, correct?

If not, we Californians don't get going until our morning coffee after 9am. if not, How is it even possible to get up at 5:30 to ready for a live stream at 6AM.

This gong to be tough

We're planing on demonstrating streaming from Netflix. Here's our methodology on how to best and fairly do this.

We purchased the very best Wi Fi package the Jacob Javits offers, 100mbps down. So we're planning to stream Netflix to each of the TV Netflix apps with the program queued up on each TV and pressing play at the same moment on each remote.

I know they will all be slightly out of sync, but we want to use the TVs built-in Netflix app so we can evaluate each TVs performance as consumers would be using the TVs.

It would be easier for us to have Netflix streamed from an external device connected to our matrix switch, but that would not represent how the TVs internal apps perform.

Thanks Robert, I guess most people use the WiFi connection and that will be a good test for that capability. I have the Sony 900E Hardwired straight to a 85Mbps Symmetrical Fiber Feed Switch from my ISP, and all my Streaming Apps are very responsive and work very well. Will check out the Shootout, Thanks again.

Sorry to all of our west coast friends for the early start. I had to follow the CE Week hours. So were starting at 9am EST, but don't think things will get going till at least 9:30am.

Its been a long and hard few weeks planning and preparing for our 2019 TV Shootout. But we're almost there and very excited to see our efforts come to Fruition.

Special thanks to Joel Silver Kevin Miller, John Reformato, Matt Murray of AVProStore, Brent McCall, Metra Home Theater, and my terrific staff!

Here's a few photos.
