Hope they upgrade the audio for this, unlike they did with the movies.

So happy! But I will say I am so sick of awful packaging and Funkos. Useless. I hate Funkos and family buy them for me and I stick them away. Just keep them to be nice.

PS: Watch, these will be sleeve disc holders just like Batman: TAS.

I suspect it’s because Scooby Doo only has one season—there are 6 seasons of The Flintstones to prep for HD. Warner has been having great success with many of their animated properties, so I expect it’s only a matter of time before we see Fred and Barney on Blu.

Assuming the packaging holds the discs safely, I want it.

There were two seasons of Scooby Doo(1969 and 1970) but nowhere near the amount of episodes that The Flintstones had.

With that logic, you should just buy The Honeymooners. Because there would be no Flintstones without it.

This and "Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School" are all I need! Fingers crossed it makes it to Blu-ray some day 🤞

Also, the Flinstones' 60th is next year.

Actually, if you look at the promo pics, it looks like fold-out-style book packaging used for the '66 Batman TV show. So that means - hubs!

Sweet. Would have preferred a Mystery Machine to put them all in, but whatever. It's classic Hanna-Barbera on blu-ray!!! Very exciting.

I am in for this. Normally I hate this kind of special packaging but it looks like the wallet that holds the discs has hubs on it so that makes me feel better. This announcement also just got me to order the Scooby Movies set.

First of all, WHV is releasing this, WAC is releasing The Jetsons. So The Jetsons is not going to be out this year.

Second of all, Where Are You! has been available digitally in HD for years. The Jetsons is being done by scratch. So if anything, WHV is slow with this considering they've probably had the HD versions ready since 2004, just like The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

There's actually 3 seasons included here, the last one being what is technically Season 3 of The Scooby-Doo Show. All of these seasons have been available in HD for years though, the only HD evidence of The Flintstones to surface has been 2 Season 1 episodes on the WWE Blu-ray, but that's probably all already been done in HD too. I'd prefer if WAC got it, but it might be in WHV's hands sadly for a big clunky 60th anniversary set full of junk with not enough discs to cater for it.

Anyway, I guess I'll be waiting for a more practical set so I don't need to waste $90 on 4 discs and a bunch of crap I have no interest in hoarding.

Here's hoping this one doesn't have sync issues and that the episodes are actually uncut.

I passed on the Scooby Doo movies collection because WB really went cheap on the discs. Starved of healthy blu-ray bit rates and compressed DVD quality audio.

I’d assume WB will do the same with this series sadly.

I mean roughly 10 mbps on the movies is barely twice that of the DVDs!

The New Scooby-Doo Movies actually does look a lot better on Blu-ray than the DVD. They did compress it more than I would have liked but it doesn't seem to have had any real negative effect. You need to take into account that DVDs use MPEG-2 encoding and Blu-ray uses MPEG-4, so the Blu-ray is still a great improvement.

For $30 I recommend jumping on it. Hopefully they fix the one out of sync episode, but sadly I doubt it.

It's up on WBShop. Not taking pre-orders yet though.
wbshop.com/products/scooby-doo-where-are-you-the-complete-series-limited-edition-50th-ann-mystery-mansion-blu-ray

Interesting that they're confident enough to release 50,000 units of this as a "limited edition". They were initially only doing 30,000 for Batman TAS which eventually got increased to 70,000. Very odd, maybe they're counting all the sales that The New Scooby-Doo Movies got when it dropped to $30. Either that or they've pulled that number out of thin air.
