I want this badly too. The audio alone is worth an atmos remix. Hopefully its exclusion from the recent "Sony wants to hear from you" list doesn't mean it's not being considered for a 4K/UHD release.

I want this, too. However, posting the same thing in every Sony thread will not make it appear all of the sudden. No one here can answer where the 4K of District 9 is. Nobody knows but Sony.

So, in a nutshell, ask Sony.

Bill Murray! Woody! A young, hot Emma Stone! A trifecta of awesomeness!

Zombieland has a sequel out in October and Charlie’s Angels has a remake in November.

I think that’s the main reason for those two being released.

This flick has been streaming in 4K HDR in Australia for some time, I’ve already treated myself a few times. Even for a stream, it looks fecking gorgeous. The colours in particular.... oh mai the colours.

Nice, but as mentioned, not a big surprise.

Now they can just give us Easy A, The House Bunny, and The Amazing Spider-Man by itself and the relevant Emma Stone Sony movies will be out... Superbad too but Emma Stone isn't what comes to mind first for that. And Aloha, but nobody's begging for that one lol Irrational Man and Magic in the Moonlight are Sony Pictures Classics so I wouldn't think those would happen.

Was going to rewatch the BD before the sequel, but may wait and get this.

Well...yeah. When LoSoul provided the inevitable "meh, upscale" comment up in the thread I kept quiet but resolution isn't the be all and end all etc etc etc.

Watched the blu recently and it still really holds up. The 4k should be a stunner if sony went back to the neg. If its a DI port, the HDR should save it
