I'm beginning to wonder, what's the point in buying all this cr*p when something else better comes along in the following year then you're stuck with the older technology

Another article says this technology isn't coming until 2025, a more realistic date.

Especially considering they're only injecting $2.7 million into funding this year. That'll buy, what? A transistor?

And that would have to be clean, uninterrupted bandwidth, meaning you'd need a pipe capable of supporting 3-5 x's that.

This Super Hi Resolution Thing was already in the news back in 2006. If I remember right there was also stated 2025 for time for mass usage (2015 for mass usage of 4K).

correct me if I'm wrong, but resolution that high is higher then film no?

And eventually you hit a point where quality can't go further. hence no point.

bit rate suitable for such display will be the 200GB Blu-ray Disc. What can hd dud do with their 51GB never seed prototype i cant say
