Ok.. My main problems with the ending:

SPOILERS FOLLOW!

We never see Pryor and McKee truly connect (they had great chemistry in Which Way is Up? and it would have been cute to see that). Also another example of how Pryor had been "neutered" in the 80s (see The Toy, Superman III, etc)

Candy the 2nd billed player doesn't even get a true final line or exit.

The conclusion seems thrown together (maybe it's similar in the other Brewster's films) but it seems like it was done as quickly as possible to get the movie over (hence the final shot of the NYC skyline).

I'm curious what they come up with for extras for this "collector's edition" as most of the cast are dead.

pre-ordered. One of my favorites, I imagine the reverse side of the insert will have the original poster art with John Candy on it

love this flick but as w/ their re-releases of "Get Shorty," "City Slickers" and "Kalifornia" i doubt this is going to be enticing enough to buy again

Those were MGM and had extras, this is Universal and so far has had nothing.

This use to play endlessly on HBO when I was growing up. I could never make it to the very end though. Gonna have to watch again and see how it sets w/me.

Apparently the audio on the first release was bad, so maybe Shout improved it?

Otherwise, unless you just have to have the 1945 adaptation, this release is pretty much pointless.

That is interesting. The audio got a 2/5 on this site with the Universal release but a 3.5/5 with the SF release. Could they really have used different audio tracks? Maybe differing opinions?

And the description on the differing opinion on sound in the review, is the Universal was described as poor audio, and the SF as solid audio.
