Not a single theater in this state since we don't even have a Regal here. Such bull.

Why would a movie only play at one particular theatre chain? Stupid decision that guarantees a poor box office. I'll wait for on demand.

It's only the second-largest theater chain in the US. But, I'm sure it will expand (maybe).

I'm in one of the biggest cities in the country and there's exactly ONE Regal. So they're losing dollars.

Okay, but opening in 500+ theaters right out the gate doesn't automatically equal $$$ either. If it does well enough, then they will expand.

I also find it hard to believe that you live in "one of the biggest cities in the country" and only have one regal theater. Which city do you live in?

As I mentioned, when I saw the trailer for it, they had an “exclusively at Regal” tag on it. So I’m guessing the distributors made a deal with Regal and it may not expand beyond that, though it does give more theaters than this might have had otherwise (I could’ve seen it being one of those films which just plays in 10-20 theaters and focuses on VOD).

Sorry, I didn't see your post about it being "exclusively at Regal." But, it could still expand to more Regal cinemas. At present, it's not showing at any of the Regal cinemas in my area (which there are four).

It’s a marketing decision. A movie like this would never have that great of a box office, but partnering with the second biggest theater chain in the world to insure it plays at many of their locations is not a bad idea.

Regal is also heavily promoting it. They have a banner for the film in the Regal app. They also sent out a text this morning offering $2 off a ticket as well as a $5 popcorn/drink combo.

Caught this one after work and it was pretty decent.
Started off well but unfortunetly, there was a vibe that the filmmakers held back and didn't fully utilized its premise then not stick the landing but it did have some nice dark humor and weird moments but not enough of it and an awesome cast helps things greatly here.
Not as insane or "sick" as I thought it would be but a solid watch.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this end up on Shudder in a few months like "Summer of '84" did (also from Gunpowder & Sky, I believe). It's not playing at any Regals here in Cleveland (and we have 8 or so in the suburbs), but instead at an independent theatre near downtown. I may end up catching a matinee this weekend for the heck of it.

I have the BD-R release (mine was from Target) and had zero issues.

However, at this point it might be wise to wait a little longer, with Gunpowder & Sky doing pressed special edition blu-rays and 4Ks through Vinegar Syndrome like Tragedy Girls, Summer Of 84, Her Smell, etc.

I got the pressed Gunpowder & Sky disc from the last Vinegar Syndrome sale, it's marked as Region A but plays fine on my Region B player.
