I believe he was. I have a hard time believing that Universal would allow a new scan of the negative so soon after they just scanned it. Maybe they saved the pre-DNR master and Arrow got access to it.

The extras were great in the old one so I do t feel I’m missing out too much.

Never got the Restored Edition and waited for something like this while owning the Full Moon Edition, so this is a nice upgrade for me.

If Arrow was willing to pay for a new scan I don't see why Universal would be opposed. Although, it is a little strange that it says the scan was done in 2018 so it leads me to believe that maybe Arrow wasn't the one who did it.

Regardless, obviously picking this up and I can finally junk the "restored" Universal disc. So glad this is a dual territory release and I don't have to worry about the LE selling out and my copy getting destroyed in transit and then not being able to replace it.

Hmm, I'm just afraid the same thing will happen that happened with Waterworld. Arrow released it and then a little later a UHD came out.

Since they just scanned it, I just don't see them risking something happening to it for a little bit of money.

Torn about this. Would love an updated master minus the DNR plus original audio in it's correct pitch.

Worried about a quick turnaround from UNI with a UHD release.

I understand Waterworld is the only film so far so it's not a trend.

In for the original mono and a hopefully non-DNR’d scan, but that 2018 year of restoration is puzzling.

I’m unloading the outer box and the poster ASAP and flipping that art around, however. Yeesh.

Botched is a bit strong. I’d say deeply flawed. But so is the Arrow BD.
