What's the difference between a job and a career?

a job is a specific instance I worked at A as X I am working at B as Y, I will start next month at C as Z.

a career is a generality.

Your career path is all the jobs you have had and what jobs you might want in the future.

A guidance councilor that says a career in X (be it garbage picking, medicine....) won't get into the specifics of where you will work and what you will do.
