Man I'd really like to hear what was said to piss off Roger that he demanded it be edited. He seems like the type of person that doesn't get mad easy because he's so soft spoken and nice.

To find an uncut commentary, just read the back cover on the dvd Slumber Party Massacre collection. The first pressing had an error on the synopsis. At the very bottom it accidentally said pt 3 was the second installment in the series. The 2nd pressing corrected the back cover to read the 3rd installment for pt 3. I've seen a few unedited copies used at Bull Moose over the years.
I had no idea pt 3 also got some commentary trimmings!

I have the DVD set, will have to see if it's the first pressing. Why is the photo you posted blurry?

The Part 3 commentary is "uncut" on the Blu-ray Double Feature. Beverly Gray was also edited out of the commentary on the DVD set's re-pressings (periods of silence again) for whatever reason.

So it's really even more bizarre as to why she was edited out originally, and then seemingly restored on the Blu-ray commentary. Maybe the Blu-ray Double Feature did that as a mistake and was later caught... and perhaps why it's curiously OOP as of right now. I suppose whenever it gets a reissue that mystery will be made clear.

Photobucket does that automatically if you go over a bandwidth quota on a free account. I haven't used them in ages for that reason.

I rarely use it anymore. It is loaded with pics. What is the best alternative for posting message board pics these days?

Imgur is the Photobucket alternative I use most often, personally.

I just use Postimage, it's free/unlimited and gives easy links for message boards, etc.

Do you have a picture or scan of what specifically to look for? I have a promotional copy (UPC Hole punch) of the DVD collection but don't see any sort of error. What I do see is that the 3rd film is referred to as the second sequel on the back cover, which is correct.

Otherwise is their a time stamp someone can give me for the films as far as where the silenced sections pop up. I'd like to check my copies to see if they are unedited but don't particularly want to listen to the full commentary.

You have an early copy with the uncut commentary. Here's a pic with the errored synopsis. (Part 3 is 2nd sequel, but not 2nd installment in the series). The corrected artwork insert says "the third, and last installment"
I'm sorry, too many years have passed. Haven't listened or compared to bluray in forever. I even mistook pt 1 for being the one with edited commentary. Getting old sucks!

Easiest way to confirm is to listen to the very beginning of the commentary on Part 2, as each person introduces themselves. If you hear Juliette Cummins introducing herself, you have the uncensored commentary disc.

Thanks again for the assistance guys. It does appear that my DVD is of the uncut edition. I wasn't sure as I purchased it quite awhile after release but I'm glad to say that it is there.

Wow, look, the same price for the VHS in 1985 when it first hit home video it was same price as the new limited edition

It does look like a decent upgrade based on the screen captures, but I'm not keen on steelbooks. I'm also not a diehard fan of the series, so the previous Blu-ray release is satisfying enough to me.

The edited commentary info is interesting; I had no idea about this. I used to own the 3-DVD set, but sold it on eBay after finding a copy of the Part II / III Blu-ray at a media store for $20 last summer. I still had the photos I took of the DVD in my iPhoto for the eBay listing--I just checked and I didn't have the first pressing thankfully.

I regularly paid those kinds of prices for VHS tapes when I got my first job and started collecting around 1993. Most I ever paid was $79.99 for a copy of John Russo's Midnight from the Movies Unlimited catalog. They were expensive but it gave me that "I'm the only one on my block with an expensive toy ha ha" kind of feeling

I also paid those high vhs and then laserdisc prices. It makes me snicker to hear today's collectors whine about a $30 stacked special edition blu.
I love Russo's Midnight!
