I just reviewed the AVC transfers and I couldn't be happier. Hopefully the gang here at Blu-ray.com will let me know where to send a copy for them to review. I'm very excited Twilight Time and Screen Archives have offered to carry this, as I've been a huge fan and customer of theirs for so many years. When I directed "Solstice" back in 1992 I was a huge laserdisc collector, very inspired by all the bonus content and behind the scenes programs, especially included with Danny DeVito's movies "Hoffa" and "War of the Roses". I always thought someday I would love to share all the stories and behind the scenes material that went into making my film on a laserdisc. Well that time passed but now I can offer it in the best format possible on a BD50 disc. For those who have gotten onboard ordering this, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have preparing it.

JV

I think I'm going to give this one a shot. A film made by an obvious film lover like yourself, and a BD release that you're working hard to ensure is the greatest it can be, this is bound to be a true gem of a release. I've never seen the film, but but Christmas is around the corner, and I'm sure this will be a great movie to watch for the first time during the season.

Today, I noticed I have a new, pending incoming package (Pitney Bowes) from Chicago, IL. I was scratching my head until I realized Jerry Vasilatos is from Chicago... looks like my order is shipping!

Default I've made my list and checked it twice...

It's been NERVE WRACKING due to unexpected delays from my factory in California pressing the discs and having the packaging printed which I expected to receive yesterday, however they are being express shipped to me for delivery this Saturday the 14th to go into all these pre-labeled packages to get out Saturday night from the main hub in Chicago so everyone has these by the weekend of the 20th.

Additionally, here's a podcast I did this week on the film in case anyone has a 45 minute commute they want to kill time with

http://www.kickseat.com/podcast/2019...vasilatos.html

Crowdfunder reward boxes from the original restoration campaign and envelopes for all the new orders from Indiegogo!

When I go to this website:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/s...on-blu-ray--2#

Clicking on the blu-ray offers on the right-side does nothing because the links are not highlighted. I have tried three different browsers.

Thanks.

Most likely because the Indiegogo time has expired. You can purchase direct from their web site or from SAE too.

https://www.solsticemovie.com/bluray

https://www.solsticemovie.com/

https://www.twilighttimemovies.com/s...rsary-blu-ray/

https://www.amazon.com/Solstice-Chri.../dp/B07ZW8N3QF

NOTE: Apparently, only 100 copies are left.

Thanks for the information. I read back through the thread and noticed someone purchased it from Twilight Time so I ordered it from them. Looking forward to seeing the restored version of the movie along with the special features!

Thank you, Rdodolak. Somehow I didn't see the order info on their page. Just placed an order tonight. I kept putting this one off and then missed out on the Indiegogo page. I'm wondering if orders from their site will come with the slip as well? Hoping so

All Blu-rays have the slip cover from all outlets. (although I can't promise Amazon wouldn't manhandle them from my own experiences ordering from them in the past).

With the Indiegogo campaign expired, you can order from:

https://www.solsticemovie.com/bluray

International buyers, please note:

Our website is only set up for domestic US shipping (Wix doesn’t allow multiple shipping options where I can include International shipping options). The $8 listed now is for Priority US shipping in time for Christmas.

Shipping International priority would cost $33 in addition to the $25 Blu-ray price. I can ship it regular First class international mail for $8.00 but it will not arrive in time for Christmas.

So if you are an international buyer, please note me shipping it First class International with the $8.00 US shipping charge will not get it to you before Christmas, but if you'd like me to ship International Priority I can invoice you for the express rate to cover that postage after you order.

Those rates were set up on Indiegogo however as time has passed, shipping windows are now very tight!

My copy showed up today, perfect condition! I pitched it before it occurred to me to take a photo but that blue envelope was a wonderful fitting touch.

Recieved mine yesterday! Really nice packaging! I love that blue envelope. I'll be giving this a watch tonight. Really looking forward to it. Have never seen but I love Chicago, especially Christmas in Chicago!

EDIT: I decided to go ahead and watch it now. I really enjoyed it. For the most part I thought this was a nice quality restoration. You can really tell a lot of love and effort went into this release. I'm really glad to have this new addition to my Holiday movie marathons! Be sure to stick around past the end credits!

So glad you enjoyed it! Yes. It was a labor of love cleaning this up. We had our last theatrical screening tonight in Chicago at the Pickwick Theatre and I'm really proud of how it hols up in DCP on a big screen.

If anyone is so inclined to add your thoughts to our review page here that would be a real boost:
