For me, the George C. Scott version IS the best and I watch it annually. But I also am partial to the Reginald Owen black and white version. Something about that version just lifts my spirits. The whole idea of Bob getting sacked by Scrooge on Christmas Eve and Bob basically saying "screw it, I'm celebrating Christmas anyway" and proceeding to blow his severance pay on stuff to make Christmas merry for his family just resonates with me. I love that version so much!
