I like the movies, but I don't really feel like the action in THG would even make my list top 200 movie franchises. As far as battle sequences go involving teens, Battle Royale did it significantly better (and I still wouldn't rank it very high for the record).

I guess I didn’t rank my favorite action movies based on action...which is odd I suppose but an action movie needs to have a great story (along with dozens of other elements that are great) to be good to me. That’s why I don’t like Mad Max: Fury Road. It has great action, sure. For the majority of people that was enough. But every other element is lacking and it’s just not a good movie to me.
