I actually liked Live Free or Die Hard. I get some of the criticisms it gets, but I don't think it's a slouchy movie at all. A Good Day To Die Hard sucks ass, though.

Live Free... is a much better film than the wildly-overpraised ...With A Vengeance. The fifth one is unwatchable.

I disagree that Live Free than is better than 3, but it's debatable. So I understand. I do hear that the alternative ending for 3 makes the film a lot better.

Olympus Has Fallen is unapologetically a Die Hard knockoff, but it is also probably the best Die Hard movie since the original, or at least on par with the better DH sequels.

London Has Fallen was decent, though a step down. Angel Has Fallen was actually pretty good.

Gerard Butler is literally at a Steven Seagal level now.

What a missed opportunity of a career.

After 300, he could have been the action star of his generation. He achieved global celebrity based on that movie.

But he chose to go into comedies and some terrible movies before finally realizing late in his career that the audience only wants him as an action star. And now he is too old and its too late to be anything more than a B movie action star.

Whereas he could have been an A list action star had he just focused on action after 300.

Seriously, starring in 300 was like winning a lottery. And this guy blew it.

Den of Thieves was unintentionally hilarious, due to it's logic problems and awkward scenes. Gerard Butler looked like he had too much beer in that too.

Lol that's actually one of his better films since 300. On that one, the director told him not to get a six-pack since he had to play a realistic cop. Guess he went ahead and got a six-pack anyway - of the alcoholic kind.

Oh I thought it was because he was Scottish.
But no, I really enjoyed Den of Thieves. Just not for the right reasons, lol!

Personally With A Vengeance is my favorite, even though the first one is still the better crafted of them.

Die Hard 2 gets better with multiple viewings. It's also arguably the most darkest Die Hard movie when you really think about it.

You can hear the director talk about it here with some hilarious commentary on In and Out burgers.

I liked Den of Thieves very much (except for the very last scene). It's very much in the same vein as Heat, and honestly, I think I like it more than Heat.

Vengeance is a far superior film to DH4, with the cast across the board in the third film all on top form, from Samuel L Jackson hilarious as Zeus Carver, and Jeremy Irons a fiendish villain so brilliant you almost want him to win. Nooo, DHwtV beats DH4 hands down!
