I'm hoping this set will NOT be in papersleeves/digipaks. Regular Amray cases are fine! I liked how the Ultimate James Bond Collection was packaged, with three large Amray cases.

I don't mind digibooks or even digipaks as long as there are disc trays. I actually prefer them if they have that. Or steelbook.

I'm going with individual releases (4K Steelbooks, if we're lucky), as I want Solo and Rogue One in continuity order with the other 9 films.

If the discs are in sleeves then I will wait for a re-release with better packaging. If they are to charge $250 for the set then there’s no excuse to not give each film its own disc box.

It was inevitable, but good to have confirmation. Day 1 of course. Coming out sooner then I thought.

Hopefully they give absolutely all the bonus features this time so I can finally get rid of my dvd bonus feature discs I had to keep because they weren't in the blus.

If it’s indeed three discs per movie then it’s more likely to be digipaks, which while dumb at least don’t scratch the discs.

I’d prefer individual steelbooks myself, of course.

If we could get awesome steelbooks like Last Jedi had I'd be all for it. The other ones for the PT and OT were incredibly lame.

I assume they’ll be making an entirely new set of steelbooks for these 4K releases. Of course, they could be winding down that practice and this boxset may be the only way to get the previous movies in 4K, but I hope otherwise.

Interesting that it is a 27 disc set. That suggests 3 discs per movie. Obviously 2 of each will be the movies in 4K and standard Blu-Ray, but I assume that it means each movie may get it's own dedicated disc of bonus features.

Even if they just recycle the bonus discs from the two newest movies (the bonus disc that was included in the 3D release of Force Awakens, and the bonus disc that came with The Last Jedi), it will be interesting to see what they do for the rest.

Pretty much everyone born in the 90’s and later saw the special edition their first time and the franchise has only grown exponentially; it doesn’t really matter. Surf torrents later for all that’s worth but don’t get so invested in something that you may or may not even like in the first place.
