Very unlikely IMO.

ALL CDs Arrow have released have ONLY been included in LE releases & it'll be the case again.

I just noticed the content page lists subtitles in english, french and spanish.
I don't think I've ever seen subtitles in multiple languages on Arrow releases before, is this the first time they've done something like this ?

It will be amusing to read the blind-buyers buying this one and then getting round to watching what they have bought..

El Topo is bonkers. I do kind of want to see it again though. I think I have seen the Holy Mountain too and that was certainly...more of the same.

Good to know! Wasn't able to find any review of the German release so unsure about the source HD master that was used here.

And as Finder's Keepers Records have the UK rights to the standalone retail editions of the two scores (and Tusk) we won't be getting Arrow Records editions anytime soon.

I wonder if they'll do what they've done with other box sets recently - reissue it once it goes oop but without the booklet and tat/high quality extras

I'm only really interested in upgrading El Topo so I hope not. Also in this case the score CDs are far from "tat", both are actually an entertaining standalone listen.

It's live on Amazon UK. My total is about $62.35 USD shipped. I chose that middle shipping option, too.

I've only seen El Top and The Holy Mountain and I can say without reservation, that if you're the kind of person who's confused by Zardoz, then don't even bother with these.

^ This should be printed on the J-card.

I've preordered the set as a complete blind buy. Is watching Zardoz (which I've also never seen) a worthy suggestion?

Zardoz has a reputation for weirdness, but ultimately all that weirdness is pretty surface level and beneath it is a clear narrative. I wouldn't call it a "simple" narrative, but I could easily describe the story in a couple of sentences.

Meanwhile I have absolutely no idea what the hell The Holy Mountain is about.

Hah, yeah, I think I am giving this a wide pass.

I never made it through my old Anchor Bay DVD box set. And I am usually very open to experimental film.

Somehow these never clicked with me, and I feel left out and like I am missing something.

These are blind buys for me, I ordered the set as these films sound right up my alley. I’ve wanted to see The Holy Mountain for a good while but never got round to it. What better way for a first viewing than an all out deluxe arrow release.

Worst case scenario - I get my money back or at least most of it. I do think I’ll like these though

I will add that Zardoz should be seen regardless. It's bonkers on the surface, but underneath it's actually good science fiction. Also, it's fun.

You were probably missing psychedelic drugs

This set looks amazing though, can't wait to get my hands on it. I only wish it included more of his stuff like Tusk and The Rainbow Theif but it's cool they got Psychomagic at least.

Day one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EL TOPO is a supreme masterpiece.

All Jodorowsky movies are pure art. He's a cosmic genius.

It's also remarkably similar to some of French literary science fiction, which is probably why it enjoys some degree of popularity in those circles.
