I like the design, 100x nicer than that ugly 4K TLK (1994) SteelBook.

The original 3D with framed poster art style is still the best version IMHO along with the really nice original 3D full package bluray slips both embossed and lenticular. I honestly really miss the good bluray slips without the Disney advertising. Man, they were pretty especially the embossed one, which has that shiny and tactile feel to it.

Best Steel IMO: https://us.zavvi.com/blu-ray/beauty-.../10999702.html

Slip version similar to 2D steel, but really nice detail and gloss to it: https://www.bluraysforeveryone.com/p...uyhtf14364.htm

There is also the zoomed in 2D steel, which is decent, but doesn't quite give me the full vibe that the more restrained first one does. Both are good though.

https://us.zavvi.com/blu-ray/beauty-.../11408725.html

That original Zavvi is perfectly elegant with the best front frame of them all. Purely classic. I have seen nothing better in that time. I also have the book style Target release, which I liked.

I'm not really okay with putting the main focus of the inside on the disc side, but they seem to be doing this a lot for whatever reason. I do like this steel though.

No doubt this is going to be massively superior with matte and spot gloss from Zavvi. I don't even want this if it is just the thin metal glossy crap from Best Buy unless it's 10-15 bucks again.

It doesn't seem like this will be released in the UK, so probably no Zavvi.

I don't hate it, don't love it. Actually I think I do love it as a image but not as the main cover if that makes sense.

God knows with zavvi there's still little mermaid, Moana, tangled, princess and the frog, big hero 6 zootopia, the pixar titles from a few month back and antman and guardians to be released by zavvi from the Disney wave

So this is odd...I've added this to my cart, but when I attempt to check out, I get a message that they "just found out this item is out of stock." Never seen that message before.

a little tempted to spend the extra money and buy the Zavvi Steelbook, buy the standard 4K release and put the disc in the Zavvi steelbook there.

Beauty and The Beast 1991 has always been my favorite Disney animated movie and always kinda been crazy with it as I've pretty much bought almost everytime an edition gets released but I haven't bought a steelbook for it yet.

I'll pick up the regular 4k from DMC to complete my commitment.

Not sure how anyone could dislike the gorgeous stained glass artwork on this steel.

Personally I'm rather tired of the same drag-and-drop clip art of each character being repurposed/rearranged in various ways for every release of these films.

This is tasteful, elegant, and fairly adult.

It's mainly adult collectors who are buying these after all. I assume lol

I agree and I kind of surprised at how much people don't care for the stained glass design or the original theatrical poster (although with different colors) at the back. I much prefer that than off model Belle looking at the ceiling.

I’m thrilled when the masses don’t like something I like. It usually leads to two things:

1) Plenty to choose from on release day
2) a drop in price for my Rewards PM window.

I seem to recall people on here really liking the 2010 Diamond Edition cover? To me it looks too “cartoony” and, as you said, off model. Signature Edition was better but still nothing special. This looks special.

So far I’ve favored the Target exclusive digipacks for Little Mermaid and Aladdin on 4K and will be interested to see what they do for Beast. Regardless, this steel is a day one for moi.
