To my untrained eye both look pretty decent, but technically the eureka one is better isn't it? Well definitely be watching tonight, assuming get my delivery.

Even on Beaver's notoriously unfaithful caps, the Eureka looks vastly superior than the Olive disc, which was using a visibly dated HD master.
The grading also looks much better now.

My pre-order says today by 9pm, but if you go to tracking it’s not even out for delivery from the local depot, so tomorrow by the looks of it.

Edit: Just arrived

Somehow I was really lucky. I received my copy from Amazon yesterday. That’s never happened to me before! Gonna check it out this afternoon.

Watched it last time looked really excellent. A much better film than I remembered, with some scenes that I thought were new to me. Maybe my gruby old print had some scenes edited out, or more like my memory is failing. One or two places thought the contrast changed suddenly, otherwise near flawless it seemed to me. Will leave the more technical review to someone more qualified than me.

They won't now, no. But they're honouring previous orders placed. When did you try and order?

BTW, most Amazons are only shipping domestically now so no point getting the angry emoji out when we're all affected and we all know why it's happening. Perspective.

This morning, no go... that is what I do not understand I got things earlier from all AMZ’s, Zavvi, etc. even when covid 19 was still active, what has changed?

Why not order from Eureka themselves? Same price, free shipping, and directly supporting the company.

Amazon are making more out of selling food and medical supplies now. They can act like it's a public service, and it is for those that get things they need, but they're just going where the money is. Why worry about sending small amounts of blurays overseas when they can fill their warehouses with things like hand sanitizer, masks, foods etc.

As for the timing, yes they did still take orders when COVID was moving but not when lockdowns hit. It's been this way for a few weeks now. Again, the reasons should be obvious enough as to why they're doing so - staff isolating, having to distance, overseas mail not offering tracking...and Zavvi have never sold those kinds of goods so they've less reason to change.

Eureka are still shipping worldwide and would need your money more than Jeff Bezos anyway.

My copy arrived this morning, along with Zu Warriors.

But they were bundled with my Star Wars UHD set (and Arrow's The Buddhist Trilogy) so they may have upgraded the shipping (they came via Royal Mail tracked).

Received mine this afternoon from Eureka.

Was expecting a similar outer box like the African Queen, but I do like the slipcover on this.

I think Eureka confused people as they described both this and Zu Warriors as 'LIMITED EDITION' so people assumed they'd both have slipboxes like Kwaidan, The African Queen, A Fistful of Dollars etc, but if you read the specs it's quite clear it just comes with an O-ring/slipcover.

I had read the specs so knew it was coming with the slip instead but im not sure the promo pics eureka use on their website help the situation, the pic for both Rio Grande and Throw Down have fat spines that look like the hardboxes they use for Kwaidan and the recent Buster Keaton set, but the art for the upcoming 1000 eyes clearly shows its a thinner spine

The pics they have used might be making it a bit more confusing for some people

Based on those caps I might have to keep my original. They picture is softer with less detail, the picture is has decreased contrast with muddier blacks, DNR certainly appears to have been used in the new master as well. I was hoping to be a lot more impressed with those screencaps.
